Thread: Curious Bothan Template Question

My question stems from changes in the CU and is a template question. As this seems to be the most organized andmature Profession forum I've seen since coming back to the game, I'd like your inputs.
Current Template:
TKM, Master 2H, Force Sensitive skills, force defense 0100, force healing 3000
(no armor req, melee def 255 ranged def 230 [with powerhammer equiped]; higher unarmed)
This template is very strong PvE with no armor required, a powerhammer as the primary weapon, and Force heals. However it has nothing for PvP. I have found it easy to win PvP vs. melee but not so against Ranged. Ideas offered up in other Fencer posts have helped and I am not dead set on change, but after the inputs of others, this is what I was thinking.
MFencer, TKA 4104, 2H 0034, Force Sensitive skills, novice force defense, force healing 3000
(armor required [no biggy], melee def 250 ranged def 190 [with fencer weapon])
From what I've read, it seems the 1H quest weapons are on par with the best PH's on Lowca. And with the 2H attacks, these quest weapons should do same if not better dmg than my current 2H weapons. The added benefit I see to the 2nd template is bind, blind, cripple, and bleed that would help fighting a ranged opponent. I could get more Jedi skills but my goal here is to "hide" my Force use with other skills (supplementing them) as seems more fitting with this time period.
Does this jive? Would my CL still be 80 even though I'd only have one elite mastery?

Well, if your going hybrid, youll need something: enhancer. My template is M. Fencer, 4xxx healer, x44x Powers, 3xx3 Enh. Ive heard tkm is the eqivelant of master defender in many aspects, so Id stick with that. Enhancer will also help prevent you from being drained dry super fast, which will happen. While Fencer weapons may be superior swordsmen still tend to hit harder, from my experience at least.

My primary, if not only, source of PvP would be from BH's. I dont expect to be fighting other Jedi. Does this change your thoughts Kital?

Some, my server is covered in jedi pvp, sorry for my assumption. Well, Id say template B, but im a little biased since i love fencer. Only change i would suggest would be dont get meditation, get x414 tk, innate armor will be your friend. That being said, id drop defender, that much wont make any difference seeing as the innate armor dont stack(from what ive read). Its important to have a good armor break to pummle bhs, either template should give you that tho. So my stance is B, but i think youll enjoy either one

Yes Kital I discovered the same thing. My innate armor was too low and I was trying to use Force powers with armor on. And yes I'm LOVING fencer, especially with the new RoTW weapons.
