I definately consider this my character. I am master fencer, master brawler. Then I am 0/4/0/3 marksman, 4/1/1/0 smuggler, novice medic, 3/0/0/0 scout. This combo allows me to have lots of fun in different areas of the game.

My brawler/fencer is the backbone allowing me to survive in combat.

My smuggler gives me unique bonuses such as talking to jawas, using detonation droids, and slicing

My med gives me healing (of course) and my scout allows me to go places faster on foot.

Marksman is to allow smuggler as well as get some ranged defense.

I consider this the have fun doing whatever template.

Master Fencer/Master CH medic 4/0/0/0. I've got a few points left over but I can't decide whether to put them into TKA for meditate or wait for publish 10 and do the Force Sensitive Quests. I'm not particularly interested in making my main character a Jedi though so this template is pretty much what I'm set with.

For low to medium-high content I'm able to take down pretty much anything with the right selection of pets and a bit of patience.. that's without buffs mind you. With buffs I'm a freaking god and the game loses all its challenge. So I only buff up when I need to make money quickly.

All told I love this template for PvE and it's served me well for over 10 months now.

As I mentioned elsewhere I switched from grinding Fencer/Rifleman on my alt to take up Chef, so I am now Master Chef/Fencer 3440/Scout 0010/Novice Medic.

Tending harvesters and factories in dangerous terrain is often a problem for a crafter. Just this morning I had an overlapping spawn of Trade Federation Loyalists and Maulers on my factory near Theed, and was able to easily dispatch all of them without buffs or armor. Fencer's defenses are excellent for this kind of thing, and with a stun baton the HAM costs are low enough to make unbuffed fighting feasible.

I am Now Fencer 3444 and ranger 0404 and working to master both. Let me tell you, it is a great combo. I am having so much fun I have decided not to quit the game at this point. I coughed up another $13 to keep playing this month. For PvE the fencer isnt bad at all as a stand alone melee. I cant solo Krayts or anything but I can hold ground well. I dont do any damage to high end stuff with 80% resists - but With my friends we do ok.

I really do not have any main concerns at the moment. My concerns are more with ranger then anything.

If I think of anything I will try to put it up. Actually, with the addition of the Janta/Kunga dropped knives it has helped us a bit for PvP also. I am very happy so far with fencer.

One thing - The specials are a little weak - I mean yea Spin 2 is uber - but its really all I use. I try to use dizzy 2 and Blind 2 sometimes also. I wouldnt mind having a few cooler specials. Hmmm... thats about it - thanks for letting us express our views.

I am a master ID/Master fencer/Surveyor. I might not be the best fighter, but I look darn good doing it.

Currently I have a Fencer/Ranger and I really enjoy it. It makes hunting a lot easier because I can tank creatures like no other, and harvest a TON of resources as well. Yes, it's no where near as powerful as a Heavy Swordsman, but it makes the game more fun. Hopefully they make some crazy ass Hunting Knife or something...that would rock.

My target is Master Fencer (of course), Master Brawler, and Master Smuggler. With the obligatory 0-0-4-0 Marksman.
This leaves me with 18 SP to play with, too bad it isn't 20 . My viable options are outlined below and I would certainly apreaciate feedback on these.

Novice Medic with one tier 1 skill (self explainatory really)
Scout 1-0-0-0 (hill climbing)
TKA with a tier 3 skill (probably the meditate line) -- how useful would this be?
TKA with two tier 1 skills and ranged support 1 (unlikely but I have yet to fully crunch the numbers)
Pistoleer with a tier 3 skill (perhaps accuracy)
Pistoleer with two tier 1 skills and ranged support 1 (most likely including one box in the dodge tree to max my dodge modifier)
Novice TKA and Pistoleer with a tier 1 skill (also very likely, the dodge box in Pistoleer)
Novice Pistoleer and TKA with a tier 1 skill (also a possibility)

Can anyone tell me the effectiveness of meditate at Novice TK, tier 1 meditate, and tier 3 meditate?

When I became fencer I found that my largest weakness was ranged defense (or lack of ranged damage mitigation). To counteract this deficency I took on Master Squad Leader. Along with 2 Aakuan rings I have a awesome +36 ranged defense and +30 melee defense while leading a group. "But what about when you're not in a group?" you ask. Answer: I am always in a group, even if it's just my 3600 HAM probot that's grouped with me I receive the bonuses and can use my skills like rally. This has allowed me to take out many a TKM and eyeshot spamming BH/Master pistoleer (which used to be me). Even the Jawa rifle toting rifleman must have a alternate strategy vs. this template as they see theier accuracy go down the drain. With the left over SP I have Medic 2-0-0-0 which allows me to cure bleeds and heal damage. I also carry a 110 Medical Droid to heal those nasty wounds in the field. Only thing I'm missing is the ability to heal my mind wounds and BF, but that's what Muon Gold, Brandy, and Canape is for.

My main is a master fencer and MCH.

So far it ahs been a blast. For a long time I had the rest of my points divided between some ent and medic but I am looking to get novice dancer for the hell of it. I have found that with pets and a good set of buffs the only thing I am really healing are my pets, and I don't need medic for pet stims. I don't even wear full comp, I just use most of it for the high paying missions on Dath and for baby rancor snatching. If I see that I am getting painfully hurt I back up and let my pets take a bruising. True this ain't so great for PvP, but then I've never found that aspect of the game very rewarding with spamming attacks and uber, clone-ish comp. I'd rather sword dance with my pets and friends.
