I finally got enough exp for Novice Fencer last night.

Now, before I buy that set of battle armor (only been using tech'd clothes till now)... is there any particular set we should get? Or is it all just cosmetic now?

is cosmetic but, you may want to hold off on armor till you get at least one Armor mitigation otherwise the hinderance will hold you back a bit much.

you want Battle armor (bone/padded) Armor makes a big difference still just not as uber as pre-cu the highest resists possible are 10000 or 60% so anything above 5000 is decent armor (a note with the new armor system 5000 is not 30% is higher, as the resist number gets larger the actual % increases in smaller increments, like a half of a hyperbola)

Also there is a slight difference between skins, condition. They can all get the same condition but some uses easier to get resources and are therefore easier to get good condition on.

For Battle Armor a it would be Bone > Padded > Marauder but it might differ.

Bone uses Bone and Metal, Padded uses Scaley Hide and Metal and Marauder uses Bristley Hide and Low-Grade Ore.

I have no problem with high 70 level targets as long as there are only one at a time and I don't use any armor except a padded chest plate. Don't know why your having trouble with such low targets. I know the Force Sensitive helps but you shouldn't be having that much difficulty. What is you weapon DPS? Also look for Boi-E clothing with melee and ranged defense adders. Should be able to stack them....shirt, jacket, pants each +18 on both defenses will give you +54 to melee and ranged.

Brawler 4/4/4/0
Master Fencer
Scout 1/0/4/0
Swordsman 0/0/1/2
TKM

Force Sensitive:
Combat 0/0/0/4
Reflex 4/4/0/3
Sense 0/0/0/0
