Thread: Help me out please...my respec points are messed up

ok I come back after a long break and can respec...I was TKM/M Fencer/some Pistoleerbefore CU and came back to -27/250 skill points and could not move untilI respecced...I have several ideas for my new template, and have read that they are all possible, butI can't even come close to having enough points for them...any ideas why?
Iwant to be one of these four:
1. TKM/MFencer/Doc 4000
2. TKM/MFencer/MSwords
3. TKM /MFencer/Swords 0034/Pikes 0040
4. TKM/MFencer/MBrawler/Swords0034/Scout 0000
Ihave read and heard from many people that they have these templates post CU...so what's the deal...why can't I?

Probably because on the respec screen just 1 elite profession mastery requires 171 Elite skill points except for Ranger which requires 189. It has something to do with the conversion rates for the different types of points, can't remember exactly though hopefully someone else will be able to provide you a better explanation on that.

Did you respec before they did this Final respec thing? If so and you had spent less points then you had they all got reset =(. Other then that I'm not sure how or why your not allowed to get close to those templates. If anything I would say file a CSR ticket and maybe they can help out. Sorry about that.

i logged on for the first time in a month on the 8th which was the final respec day...i tried these templates then and am still trying, but to no avail...i will file the csr ticket...ty for your response

so are these templates something i can attain thru normal xp from lvling? it doesnt seem so because i run out of the old 250 points and the new elite points as well...very annoying...i think i'll file a csr ticket unless someone else has a suggestion

Each one of those templates gives you just 4 skill points leftover so they are doable so don't expect much help from a CSR, though that's on pretty much any issue hehe. To be honest I've no idea why it would've worked if you'd just had brawler based professions instead of some marksman based ones as well but more than likely you'll just have to grind some of the exp you need to achieve one of those templates.

go to respec screen then clear all, choose template then fill it up as much as possible, then grind out the rest. you should be able to do the template as long as you have 4 or less FS boxes

Sounds like because you logged in for the first time on the Final respec day it messed up your 2 week respec period for logging in for the first time since the CU.

That is the good thing with the CU is that if you just group up XP comes in really fast =). But I hope you get a nice CSR that can help you.

I signed back in a week ago after a long break and after respeccing my character (who was a master doc/master tkm some scout before CU), I was 3 boxes short for master fencer.. Took me 2 hours in a big group in dant to get them.

Sounds like he didn't have two masters before, so he's unable to respec into a double master template.
My recommendation is max out your combat xp with your single master and then drop the entire line that requires combat xp and respec it into something else. Then just go train your way back to master again.
