Does a fencer get defense bonusesthat the profession offers only while wielding a fencing weapon or always? Could I use a rifle and fencer defense lines?

Yes, all deffnces work no matter what EXECPT dodge. Dodge does not work unless your using your fencer weapon.

Dodge Only Works While Weilding A fencer Weapon BUT Defense Vs Posture Change And State Defense Works With Any Combo

Dodge will work with fencer and pistoleer weapons...and its stackable with this profs...
