Greetings all,

A quick question... do dodge bonuses from pistoleer stack with fencer dodge? I have a template of pistoleer 4040, master fencer. My dodge is shown to be 185. Is this accurate? or are the pistoleer bonuses not counted when I use my melee weps? Thanks for your help.

capped at 125....1-x-x-x from pistoleer is enough...u can stack another 25 by food(aircake) and 25 by an sea...so totaly 175 max is possibile

Are you sure aircake is stackable? I was just a chef and before I dropped it I made +36% dodge air cake and +53% dodge picata pie. When I take these as a master fencer I see no real change in my dodging. Now when I take +24 mele food or +23 ranged food (I made these as well), then I see a difference in how much a mob misses me. I think the dodge food works off a separate modfier, not the one we use in our trees.

I never noticed it changing the actual stat of dodge in my character sheet but I'll check tonight to make sure.

btw, sea I thought would not go over the cap of 125. The only thing that goes over the cap is food, i.e. if your ranged def is capped at 125 then taking +25 food would make it 150. +25 in sea will only work if you are already not at the 125 cap. I could be wrong but that is how the devs explained the cap months ago. Maybe it changed.

Ok say you have 125 Dodge natrually. Any sea's for dodge will do nothing for you. They work with the same cap as skill mods. However, dodge food can still help you go over it. Food ignores these caps and gives you a temporary boost to dodge, otherwise since everyone is a defense stacker, chefs would be out of business selling air cake.

Actually yes and no. The Air Cake and Pikata pie (both give dodge % bonus) seem to work off a different modifier. My example is like this, when I was a Master Fencer/PistoleerI would take30% dodge food. If it stacked with my natural 125 capped dodge mods, I should have been at 162 dodge. However I was getting hit just as much as before when looking at the combat logs. I noticed no difference (infact I could have sworn I actually got him more). Unless a dev comments on this, my guess it does nothing with our mods. I know other professions can get uses out of the dodge food without having any dodge sohow would that be possible if the % of dodge from the cake was going off the original mod?

Answer is simple, it doesn't. Like I said before I have 53% dodge food (lasts almost 20 mins), with 125 dodge mods it would be overpowered to have this food stack (it would give me 192 dodge if it did!!).

btw, as a former chef I can say the dodge food buissness is already dead lol. Only thing that really sells is brandy, canape, and any mind drink or food left that I didn't mention. Dodge food is nice, if your a Combat profession that has very low defences (BH, Jedi) or a Dancer with novice combat skills.
