Thread: Minerunner, your advice please.

this is the Fencer forum, dedicated to all , well, fencing issues, informations, propositions.
I really feel that 10 new threads a day asking "is my template bigger than yours" is starting to pull this forum usefulness down. In your opinion, should not theses threads be in the GCW forum as they are 99% pvp related ?
Not flaming, just asking.

It is my personal belief that threads concerning template only questions are unessisary. I'd personally rather see them all be posted into one thread if at all here. I think if anything it just lowers the useability of the forum in that it makes it harder to concentrate on Fencer Specific questions.
For the most part they are redundant they are filled with the same questions asked over the past year by others.
This would require the members of this community to exercize self moderation. Not undoable (for we have a reletivly mature membership), but limited by each members patience.
GCW is not a PVP only forum either though.
I ask that people utilize the Search feature of the board, and take the time to scan thru the previously existing Template Threads.

perhaps a sticky is in order? maybe a thread like "post your template here" or something. Also I'd like to see that PvP guide a while back that was posted stickied. I think just the 2 of those will cut down on redundancy a lot, as from browsing these boards the three questions I see most are "Is this template good/what template should i be," "how do I fight in pvp," and "how do I level fencer."

I have the PVP FAQ stickied personally for when I get a finished revamp of the FAQ and can get a Mod in here to remove all stickies but the new FAQ by Ruehs, and the Old FAQ by Raph. The PVP FAQ should be put in the New FAQ.
Then once we are down to 2 Stickied threads I can see starting a stickied Template Thread.
But it will still require self moderation and a little proactive searching, in order to be effective.

A stickied thread that allows people to post their template along with what they perceive to be that template's strengths and weaknesses would help a lot IMO regarding all these "template" posts. Some people might even find it useful to have all the info in one place. 
Not that my opinion matters, but I like this thread.

Still nothing done, still no "Fencer Template FAQ" sticky, still getting 5 new "template" post a day.
Why wait ? Man if i don't know better, i'd say that these forum are managed by $o€

Sorry Neige, I had no idea that this upset you. I do think a stickyed Template Thread would be nice tho.
