The Accuracy Line and Master, lol
im master swords, pistoleer tech and some medic. i want the 444x part of fencer for the defense. but say i want to pull a stun baton and start swinging, could i acutally hit anyone in pvp? can use citrus snow cake so that add whats +40 accuracy i think, i use it alot when using a -40 mod hammer. so id be like -20 from a master i have figured. but with the defensive temp i will have with only 4440 and swords i will be one state stacked swordsman and powerhammer beats a stun baton if the guy is pvp equiped with gens and armor.

I say very good. I am a Master Brawler, Fencer 4/4/4/0, Swordsman 0/0/1/3, TKA 4/0/0/3 and novice medic right now. Since fencer has never given me the problems swordsman has with accuracy I chose to level the swords accuracy line while doing the Fencer trees.
This may not be great for hadcore PvP but when I duel people I do very well. With CoB I hardly get hit.I will eventually be a master of both Swords and Fencer but I still say 4/4/40 fencer can hold its own. I don't think accuracy is really an issue.
Just my 2 creds.

I have the opposite opinion. Fencer without accuracy won't hit anyone with an elite combat profession (except MBH...hehe).

Well, obviously, if you plan to use Swordsman more for offense then the accuracy from Fencing doesn't matter much. If you do plan on using Fencing for more than just defense stacking than they accuracy will have an effect. How much of an effect will vary more on what you expect than anything else. Even if you miss 1 out of 10 or 1 out of 15 that is still a miss, and in PvP terms misses like that can decide the outcome. There will, invariably, be that one instance where you are fighting someone and it just seems like you can't hit the broad side of a barn. These things happen, sometimes the most outrageous odds fall on top of each other. Whatever skill you plan to PvP with, however, should do everything in it's power to limit these occurances. If you are going to use Fencing as a PvP offensive skill you don't want to have the doubt hanging over your head that the skills you have chosen are serving as a hinderance to your character. PvP is a game ofequipment andinternet speed, and if those are equil between combatants individual skill level kicks in. You never want to look over your PvP battle and realize that you lost because of a few misses that could easily have been remedied by choosing a different template. Choose your offensive tool and then make sure that tool is the best it can possibly be.
