Thread: Fencer vs. Tuskan Obserever

While wondering around the Squill Cave this weekend I ran into the Tuskan Observer I thought what the heck I had taken on six enraged Rancors earlier by myself all at once. I ate some steak and cake and approached for a melee battle. About 2 mins in and numerous self heals I realized I wasn't scathing him (85%kinetic,85%Stun Resist). Didn't take very long before my buffed mind pool was very low so decided to kite. After waiting to regen, I went back this time I started the battle with mindshot2 to bleed his mind pool. Unfortunately he shot back for 2400 a shot. I kited again but was incapped. I thought oh no here I go to the cloner but he didn't DB. Instead he waxed my AV-21 that I didn't store. 2.5 mil down the drain.
Has any Fencer beaten this guy?If so how considering he has uber defence to our only two damage types?

I have tanked one at the Fort while a Swordsman pounded on him. Of course course I was only 1/2/1/1 at the time and wasn't doing much with my stun baton. After the Kill I received 96 exp points.

with an enemy with a stun/kin res above 50-60% dont bother even using the fencer prof. you need AP and must go swordsman

id outdamage a swordsman anyday with a good dxr, i was rifleman now im speed capped as master rifleman.. fencer isnt a good pve prof period

I didn't do too bad as a fencer. I cheated though (used feign death whiole it bled), I got him 1/3 down, but lost my buffs and had to run. I would bleed, blind, intimidate, blah,blah, blah (used a 34% damage slice gaffi) and pounded until I was 2/3 damaged, then feigned and watched him bleed while I recouped. But it is a very long kill to complete it, just not worth it. Yet to try an elder, last time did not go well, got mobbed by the elder and some sister friends (sentinels) popped in to say hi.

Memic- Fencer is a great PvE profession, one of the best, also fantastic in PvP. While we may not be able to solo the very high content as quickly (or even in a moderate amount of time) does not mean we are a bad profession, it means the creatures that require groups to kill are being killed by professions that are over powered. Everytime a swordsman, rifleman (and even a fencer) kills higher end mobs, it means the devs did not do their job in the game balance realm. Nightsister elders, Tusken Observers, Krayts were never intended tobe soloed, and should notbe able to be soloed.
The combat revamp promises to fix this, what I see is a massive cry from certain profession about nerfs and the ruination of the game beyond repair. Too many players in god mode now will not really want to see this online massively solo game turn back into a online massively multiplayer game.

No you would not. Acklay PH 800+ Damage beats my Rifleman friend all the time on the Tuskens. I still did more damage when he was speed capped before I was speed capped with Swords.

heh... you do know that elders have 100% to everything but LS, Energy, and Blast... right?
