Thread: Another Idea for a NEW Fencer Weapon

I know this thread will probably get lost in the 1000's of other ideas but I still wanted to post it. Since we can't get any solid feedback on a Rapier or any other type of New Fencer weapon I thought of this.
Shock Baton
Speed 2.0-3.0 Range
AP1 or AP0 leaning toward the AP1 but it depends on what the devs give us.
Min Damage 75-100 Range
Max Damage 100-130 Range
Damage Type Electricity
A couple of points to ponder:
- Make it Certified at Master Fencer to discourage dabblers.
- A New Dot could be introduced for Electricity that could maybe immobilize the target similar to Warcry
This is my starting concept and I plan to add to it later on but I wanted to get the communities feel on it. Please post any constructive criticisms or complements that cross your mind. If you like it please express why andvice versa if you don't like the idea. The chance that this willbe implemented isslim to none but if we put up a solid argument or blueprint the devs might consider it.

as a highjacking thought i always wondered, as being mildly inquisitive, somewhat physics aware and more than a bit fed up with SWG, what really really really is the difference between certain damage types. specifically :
Electricity and Stun ?
Energy and Lightsaber ?
Blast and Kinetic ?
IMHO it's only a cheap way to add some damage types to the game.

I don't think so with those stats and acklay enhanceable, unless ya wanna give some AP/damage type lovin to the TKAs as well

I would much rather have a tight damage (170-220 ish) 2.5 speed light or medium ap SWORD (call it a Vibro-Rapier or something) at Master Fencer. Oh, and have it Acklay enhanceable. I am a fencer and I am tired of my two best weapons being a hopped up billy club, and a piece of scrap metal invented by a group of primitive desert savages.

fencer's attacks are too fast to possiblely give them AP2 and actually make it fair

I agree with Jaim, make a master certed weapon with a TIGHT min-max range. If we had that and did a consistant amount of dmg at speed cap then you have some power, almost more important than AP in some situations.

nice concept, but unfortunitly, its still a baton. not a sword. look at our arsenal right now. daggers, a crappy vibroblade, a rusy waterpipe wit ha sharp end, a 1 handed sword that looks almost identical to the 2 hand curved sword, butheld with one hand. and a riot stick (stun baton) and possibly a 4 headed mace (if that isnt out of the swg theme i dnno what is)
