is it even needed to fight jedis? im currently master fencer, tk, 1040 pistoleer and 0030 medic.
just wondering if being master brawler would be more helpful for them, and pvp in general.

Well, I find that the added bonus to intimidate and warcry...plus the longer durations are well worth it. Also the added 1 handed toughness and CoB duration (every little bit helps) plus a 1 handed KD make master brawler very helpful, if not essential.
Now while I am not a fan of having TKM and Fencer... I don't see the point myself... if you wished to have both of those, I would suggest forgeting pistoleer at all and doing the following:
TKM
M Brawler
M Fencer
Swordsman 3/0/0/0
Medic 2/0/3/0
That will give you capped Melee and near capped ranged defense
a 25 meter TK and Fencer KD
Great state defenses including +40 vs intimidate(50 if Zabrak)
The ability to use Stim c's
The ability to stop bleeding (very important on many hi end mobs)
The only draw back I see to this is the inability to damage certain Hi End content effeciently (everything seems to be 90%+ resst to stun and kinetic) and the lack of decent AP.
Myself I went a different route...
M Fencer
M Swordsman
M Brawler
TKA 0/0/0/3
Medic 2/0/3/0 (will drop the 3 in pharacology when I can unlock my FS melee speed and accuracy)
This also gives great defense, plus the ability to damage virtually everything, and the medium AP on a Scythe or Hammer helps cut through PvP armor as well.
The only part of TKA I miss is the meditate ability to stop disease and poison, as that can be a problem.
(Granted I am a Zabrak, which gives me a +10 to stun, dizzy and Intimidate, as well as equilibrium which I think is a fair trade off for not having Force of Will)
Just my 2 creds

It's not "needed", but it certainly makes quite a bit of difference. Not only do you get the extra toughness cob effec/duration, but Intimidate2 is a killer in pvp. It decreased damage by 50%.
A master fencer with master brawler will have 37 melee toughness, which is a 37% dmg decrease. So not only will the jedi's damage be decreased by 37% against you, but also 50% from intim2.
Lunge2 is also an added plus. You can dizzy a jedi and then kd them with lunge2. They will get up soon and since there's a timer on kd, you can't use lunge2 again right away, souse lunge1 to posture change them and put them right back on ground.

I had your exact same temp for a bit intiquity. Worked ok. Dropped medic and my tka master box along with master power techniques box and the the pistoleer box with a dodge bonus then took up master brawler. So right now my temp is master fencer/master brawler, tka 4,4,3,4 and pistoleer 0,0,4,0. Works great for me. Get full mind buffs, full buffs. Down 2 brandy, eat a snowcake, and have some vercupti on hand just in case and I won a lot of people. I was just overt for a bit tonight and racked up 7 kills bymyself. I was even holdin my own just fine against 4 imps (all masteries of some proff) until a jedi showed up and I ran. I cant take 4 imps and a jedi on by myself lol. But ya, I love my template and cant see myself switchin it up anytime soon, intim2, warcry2, onehand lunge 2, are all extremely essential skills. And if you dont think fencer has the dmg output of a tka you jus gotta make some money and buy good weapons. Between my 340dmg stun baton and my 380dmg gaffi I do just fine hehe.

My Template:
Master Fencer
Master Swordsman
Master Brawler
Medic 1-0-1-0
Artisan 0-0-3-0
None of my defenses are capped...but there are still very formidable. I went swordsman because of the obvious lack of PvE a fencer can accomplish, but also because spamming headhit3 with a 436max scythe is great in PvP.
Master Brawler KD is somewhat weak but I WILL NEVER DROP IT. Kd-ing an opponent makes a huge difference, as the damage modifier is HUGE. That, along with dizzy and blind, start off battles very nicely for me. Intimidate2 is also an essential skill in my template. I dont use warcry all that much.
Its definately worth it...plus u are certified for DoT pikes if u want to do that.
