Thats all i heard last night on TC-EP3. People couldn't believe how fast and hard Fencers hit. However im still trying to get a grip on how to fight under the new combat system, and got owned with 20 seconds (buffed) when dueling.
Discuss.

we hit at the same speed as everyone else.. but I hit for about 1100... we do massive damage compared to the past and the only way I have been beated in TC (dueling amongst friends) is if I get rooted and then kited.. you just can't beat that

as a master smuggler/ master fencer with medic and commando, im trying to get a good handle on how to mix shootie, and HtH classes vs pve and pvp.
It sounds that going all pistol, or carbine or HtH is far superior to mixing hth and shootie.
What have you guys found?

Yep, mixing melee and range *some of them* is not as good as a range + another ranger profession.

yeah, it seems as though the intention was to keep ranged as ranged and melee as strictly melee... But I suppose that if you were gonna mix, pistols would be the way to do it with stopping shot as a root
