Thread: This is a time for action not mourning

Well this incorporates some relatively old points of view.
Which creatures you hunt depends on you level and whom you are fighting with. It may or may not be helful to group... grouping with characters much higher than you is a two bladed sword. Grouping with characters of your own level is next to always very helpful.
Which weapon you use depends on you innitial level. I don't think to all these questions can be found an overall answer.
But in the current testing phase it is more important to find out where the bugs and describe them as well as possible. And find out what a bug is and what not. I am damn curious if it is really right that not a single one-handed weapon the frog gave me has an accuracy bonus.
As for templates: I am concerned that master brawler became virtually worthless if you haven't got all three brawler branches anyway, but virtually all thinkable combinations make sense in a way. One of the points of the CU was to give every character something unique. Some skill boxes are better than others, but in the end it is hard to say way is better than the other, ways are just different.
But seriously, this upgrade needs bug testing. Not us figuring out how we can powergame the most advantage out of it. This can wait until it is live.
This is from last night;
Spot: Narglatch Cave (Naboo)
Professions:
- Master Fencer
- Master Ranger
Armor
- Padded Armor
- Marauder Armor
Weapons:
- RSF Sword
- Marauder Sword
- Acid Sword
- Junti Mace
Race
- Twi'lek (still don't know if this will be of any significance)
Perma-use ability
- Center of Being
Ran into a group of Narglatch Guardians (3) by the entrance, and ran into the middle of them, using Binding Strike on all of them, then Bleed Attack, also using the RSF Sword. This is a good sword and does good damage, but when I switched to the Marauder Sword, the kitties started regenerating fast. REAL fast! I tried to reapply my beginning attacks to see if it made a difference, but no dice. Then:
- switched to the Junti Mace: same result as the Marauder Sword
- switched to Acid Sword: Bleed Attack+Scatterhit+Bodyhit=3 hit kill! This has to be a bug!
I cleared one sideof the lair still wearing my Padded Armor, using the Acid Sword, and using the attacked described above, but had a bit of a harder time with the Female Narglatches. Lunging them seems to work, but if you follow up with another attack, they pop right back up immediately, and their health was restored.
Before I started clearing out the other side, I switched to Marauder Armor, my RSF Sword, and used:
- Binding Strike
- Bleed Attack
- Lunge
- Scatterhit
- Bodyhit
- Blind Attack
Blind Attack works wonders on these beasts, as they started hitting me less, but when they would hit, they took off lots of damage. It seems the Marauder Armor doesn't offer the protection that Padded Armor does. I wouldn't apply states to the kitties just to see how hard I was getting hit, and I was getting hit pretty hard. Applying CoB while wearing M.Armor, I would say, is a must while fighting these beasts, as well as being stalked up on stims. Again, Lunge works good here, but seems to keep them down longer with the RSF Sword.
Just my 2 cents in for testing. I've been testing lots of stuff, but with school, it's hard for me to type things out. I still haven't tested Tuskens out yet, or other NPC's, but I'm going to torture the Tuskens next, then the Sennex Cave, and finally all the Witches of Dathomir will be hounded by me. ![]()
See ya'll out there!

Gunit is currently stuck CTD'ing on Kasyyyk so he is out of commision until they patch =P. So drop me a line on Cazper.
Also I threw my hat in the ring to be our next Correspondent. Good luck to who ever gets the position, I think we can make Fencer one of the best Professions in the game, I really think it is one of the best professions now in the CU.
