Thread: Fencer CU testers...help grab the developers attention

My thoughts, for what they're worth are as follows....

I liked fencer for the defenses. I tested pikeman and hated it. So I'll be strictly crafting from now on. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but I had to vent. I LOVED fencer pre-CU. Oh well...

I liked being a defensive player too...but I liked most being a Fencer. Just kinda felt I owe the profession something after being one for so long.


But if these "damage dealing bleeds" stay as pathetic as they are....well I do have a jedi I could work on I guess.

I sent a lot of PM's to the devs, themselves, on alot of Fencer issues, particularly the bleeds. To me, Bleed Attack seemed more like a animation that didn't do sh!t, than actually did a bleeding attack. As a CU Alpha Tester, it seemed like what I posted got lost in the shuffle of all the other posts, hence the PM's, which seemed to do nothing, either.


Like Tal, I'm sticking around cause I feel I owe folks here something. I've been a Fencer for a few years, now, and hopefully I can do some good around here, post-CU.

It sounds like their requests for input is just for show.

I asked Minerunner what he knew of his replacement and he didn't answer or he hasn't read the PM yet. Either way, Bleeds is something I would classify as something that needed a bit more developing of. They are truely pathetic... and then call us a DOT role. If Our primary role is DoT, then it should be a real DoT. A Heavier Bleed.


In all honesty, there was 1 thing I feared about hunting Nightsisters and SMC's... and that was there UNBELIEVABLE bleeds. I wouldn't want something that potent, but I'd love to see the bleeds be a VERY feared adversary.


Whether I get Nominated or the others that have applied for the position, It needs to be addressed seriously and professionally. I've been crunching some numbers and 100-200% increase sounds fair for being a DOT role.


Has anyone tested the Bleeds in Groups to see if Potency was increased or decreased?


I am also trying to put together a guide to the POST CU Fencer Role and I still a bit of help. I know alot of you Veteran Fencer's are busy testing for your own purposes, but as being fencers in a community without a Correspondent. We need to work together.

Well... what does the Bleed attack acutally do? How much is it actually damaging? 10-20%... of what is that percent of? Their HAM?

bleeds are severely underpowered as a way of damage dealing and need to be stepped up in my opinion.


what have your tests found in the way of bleeds?


if the CU is going live tomorrow, we need to push for a last minute little bump on bleed damage


so-where do you see bleed damage now, where had you expected it, and where do you think it should go?


Personally, x2.5 of the current seems about right..maybe more?


what are your thoughts?
