whenever i go pvping i usually stay around cities as we have very little chance of winning else-where....

what i do first is either try to go for a first strike or get within striking range....

launge1, then dizzy2, then launge1 then Cho-Mok x how ever many times it takes....

if there are too many i usually make them follow me to a house then pick em off asthey come in.....

after the patch hits in there will be a 30 sec timer in between useage of launge.... i believe this would affect us very much as lag makes us unable to hit bodies sometimes although it says they r 3 meters to u.... when fighting a range after the soon to come nerf...... will be almost impossible as we r very limited in our range and dizzy/launge doesnt always work the first time...... and theycan and will just keep running and shooting us at no penalty to deathsince we "all" "run" at the "same" speed.....

well just wondering ur thoughts on how u currently pvp and how u think the soon to come nerf will affect it.

I always target then hit autofollow so If he or she does stop I am right there. I usually use bleed, blind and dizzy one right after the other then lay a body hit.

The new patch is basically going to screw over everybody without helping anyone.

Agreed..I really hope they increase the chance of landing the combo; because as stated above the combo doesnt always work the first time around.

I've also noticed that NPCs w/ guns have also started kiting. Lounge was the only way I could keep them in reach.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

God forbid a probot decides to run from you killing a droid camp. They take forever to chase down.

The halting while chasing something is beyond annoying too, it delays you when you're trying to close in. This **edit** nerf should only apply to ranged weapons, not a close melee combatant where we have NO other advantage AT ALL! Running Probots? This is why I still have tons of points tied up for FWG5 and Advanced Ranged Support in the Marksman tree.

At least give us the means to sprint and close in faster without burning our burst run in one shot. I'd much prefer to be able to use my burst run in chunks for short sprints without resetting that stupid artificial timer. They need to make it use your stamina and health like in DAOC, so you can turn it on and off.

I realize ranged should have an advantage, but they should have one hell of a disadvantage at close range! We should at least get an extra attack like /trip so we can trip the opponent as an alternate knock-down!

I used a lunge/dizzy/bleed combo while on follow myself, but it was mostly useless. Only defense against a kiter, and it doesn't even work. Knock 'em down to knealing, and you have just enough time to get in a second hit before they run away again. Kicker is, you'd be 1 meter away and get an 'out of range' message.

Best part though? Even though they're appearing in the incorrect spot on your screen, you're most likely in the RIGHT SPOT on theirs. After dueling a guild mate, he asked me how I was hitting him from 15 m away then stopping at 10 and just standing there.................. Why, if I was appearing to him where I was for me, was he not doing the same on my end?

Also as a note, anyone else realize that you can't get knocked into prone from standing anymore? Unless you're an utter idiot and remain kneeling for the thirty seconds, anyway.

Am I the only one who starts with blind and then bleed? I have usually found that dizzy before lunge worked better than the opposite, although I cannot say that I will bother with either anymore if what I have read about knockdowns is true. Having my other mastery in what must be among the top three most useless professions (dance). I am a little distressed to see that not only is nothing being done to make melee more competitive, but in addition, fencer appears tohavebeen degraded in comparison to other melee professions with the HAM reduction for other melee classes that will not effect us.

I use a good curved sword, and have never had a problem with HAM costs beyond lunge...

Start with something besides lunge? How the hell do you do that against a ranged fighter in PvP...? NPC's I'll bleed or blind first, if they don't aggro, but PvP is impossible unless you get the jump on them.

We're more screwed than I thought: if even an NPC doesn't fall when he/she/it stands up, you can't drop it again and hope. Same applies for fast-standing creatures. Hell, I'll need to sit after a blue-con fight now, depending on the HAMs Are they trying to force Fencers into armor or what?

I kick the party off w/ Intimidate-blind..and then dizzy lounge bleed.

Face it folks; you must have a secondary talent in battle, the DEVS have spoken.err not spoken. Find something that compliments you particular style of combat.

You can see how much they think of our class by not even giving us a NEW CORRESPONDANT.
