I checked out www.swgcraft.com and it says the damage on the gadariffi baton is 100% base on the Shock resistence of the Metal and Iron it uses, so seek out the highest SR metal and iron and have your weaponsmith put all the experimentation points on damage. buy at least 10 of them, hope to get a lot of them damage sliced, and you have youself a bad @$$ 1h weapon!!

"exceptional" and "legendary" loot drops are in the game, and they are far better than what any weaponsmith could produce.

about 2 months into the game's life there was an iron with 980 SR and a gas or chemicle with 999 SR, supposedly it was the best combo you could get for swords (using Iron not steel)At the time it made me a sword from a master weaponsmith with excellent stats, top tier at the time 97-180'ish i think 2.4 speed.

I guesse the only way to get these is to hope someone stockpiled them. Now i dont know the names exactly but i think they were Kammris and polythym. sheesh i been away for 2 months, maybe there have been netter by this time, but hope i can at least create a sense of what to look for. good luck Fencers!

This sounds like it was supposed to be posted as a response to something in the Fencer forum, doesn't it?

Anyway, Duralloy Steel and Kammris iron are both uniformly high shock resistance. My server has had TWO different kinds of duralloy with SR of 1000.

Uh, gee, I guess it was. I thought I was still in the Weaponsmith forum, sorry.

Anyway, if your weaponsmith is worth his salt, then he's going to have some really good resources stockpiled already. Going out and "finding" high SR resources for him/her isn't going to make any since, unless you're a full-time miner.

when i first found out that my swords needed SR i searched every planet i visitedbefore going about any other bussiness. maxed surveying just so i could always stay on top of the mineral game to keep the local weaponsmiths cranking out the best swords i can get. you know what would be really nice...if once a month the devs created a sword that was a rare and random find...maybe even 1 per server. like a lotto prize. mmm...that would be nice. that would cause people to get out there and explore.
