Thread: extra skill points: TKA or master brawler?
Both if possible. =P
Otherwise master brawler.
Meditation and the defensive line in TKA are very nice.
But lunge2, intimidate2, warcry2 and the extra fencer skill mods are fantastic.
Let me illustrate with an example. The character I have been playing recently is slotted to become a master brawler/master fencer/master tka. I chose to do tka first as tka skills should make doing fencer faster (meditation will help a lot). Right now he is master brawler + 1/0/1/1 tka. Last night I went to go play around on Dantooine and I managed to solo a piket lair (32cl mission, I got 3k+ xps per piket plus 4k for the lair) and without pets one incap. Of course my tka skills helped, but what really made that possible wasmaster brawler. Idid my best to seperate them andused lunge to help with this. When it came time to fight Ibegan with a warcry2/intimidate2. This combo allows a 20s stun, and halves the incoming damage. Then I further lowered damage using unarmed stun. Note this is in the brawler tree. After that, with 30% resist armor, the damage I was taking was minimal and I was able to simply tank it out (I didn't use any more specials, although with buffs I would). I used lunge2 and dizzy as necessary to try crowd control (worked sometimes, didn't others). I got incap'ed once mostly because I bit off more than I could chew. It was a lot of work, but I did it, and mostly because of master brawler.
Lunge2 is working fantastically on Test Center. I've been landing kd's fairly easily from a range of 15+ meters.

Dantooine was nuts this weekend. Crazy holocron hunting people. Don't they know that the wooly hide there right now is some of the best that there has ever been? Oh well, more wooly for me and that means cheap or even free composite armor for me when I give it all to the guild armorsmith. wo0T!
