This may be a very silly question.....
Can anyone tell me what's difference between them?
Why somebody call himself "Blademaster" and some call "Master Fencer"?

Blademaster is the title, MAster fencer is what the skill box/level is called.

Main reason is because a lot of people do not know what a blademaster is so sometimes its simpler to call your self a master fencer.

al'Lan Mandragoran, i believe, actually. don't make me bust them out!
so was Tel Janin Aellinsar (Sammael) and Barid Bel Medar (Demandred) was too, i think.
yes, i am on my 17th read of the series, and yes i know way too much of the Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan, Reagan O'Neil, etc. he's a great author, and a masterful storyteller. good stuff.
in fact, Elan Morin Tedronai (Ishamael) talks about how he and Lews Therin took the "tame game called 'swords'" and made a deadly art from it. The blade weaver and blademaster titles make me wonder if a Dev took a cue from Robert Jordan. i wouldn't be surprised, really, it's a very elegant way to describe sword-fighting, though Rand and Lan usually use two hands.
does this make me a double nerd? behold my mighty dorkdom!

I was wondering where in the heck you guys were coming up with these names. I played the game, that's all I know of this Wheel of Time.

holy god that game was horrible. and only barely in keeping with the story line.
it was doom, and they just changed the names... the books are truly marvelous. take Tolkien to the 4th power, and that's Jordan's scale. i didn't get every bit of the story until my fourth read. i've spent literally two hours discussing theories on the direction of the storyline with my friends who read them.
back in high school, i introduced at least 5 people who now follow them avidly. and we get to have our fun debates (what's up with Verin) and crazy arguments (is Taim Demandred?) occasionally. i hope they're never made into movies, because they would never compare.
i would love to use some of the ideas from Wheel of Time in Star Wars, but i personally find the mixing of genres somewhat hampering of continuity. so i blend in subtly and don't use any names or such.
i'd encourage everyone to at least try them. especially voracious readers like myself who can knock off eight hundred or so pages in six or seven hours if the book is good enough.

I wouldn't put it in the same category as Doom. Doom was actually cool in it's day. The Wheel of Time game was just lame but it did use the Unreal Engine so it was kinda pretty. Those had to be some of the goofiest looking monsters ever.

Doom was the first game i ever took apart and modified... you're right, i have fond memories of Doom.
yes, the Trollocs were not quite fear-instilling. in the books they're larger, more fearsome and they aren't rendered polygons.
