Thread: Two Handed One Handed
Or, "T-900's endless list of complaints hoping you'll all stop arguing amonst yourselves and agree how horribly abused we are as a proffession, rise up, and kidnap the developers children to force them to make us the gods we should be"
Opinions, criticisms, agreements, comparisons, whatever, with a new account of my fencing exploits (I mean activities, not actual exploits (**edit** gaming terms)).
Me testing myself against a two handed swordsman and rifleman.
He is one or two skillblocks above my brand new shiny 1111 (the bold are new) in two-handed.
My brand spanking new Bodyhit 2 can deal around 50-100 damage in PVP, while tearing my HAM to pieces. It's erm... as pointless as bodyhit 1. In comparison, he can smack me in the head 4 times, each hit seems to stack a bleed (?!?!) and then as I stand there with about a quarter of my mind, and more dissapearing by the second, he smacks me in the head again for 300hp and I incap for two minutes.
None of this even sounds possible, but that is what happens o_o
My new specials are utterly TERRIBLE in PVP. The blind doesn't evidently do anything more than a bit of damage. The bodyhit is perhaps 30% more effective than the old one.
I'm not happy! ><
Test's are ongoing on damage modifiers with and without armour with various weapons with the two handed swordsman in this post. One thing I am happy about is the lovely damage modifier he recieves when I hit him as he has his rifle out. Three Bodyhit 1's could kill him, so I have no idea what sort of havoc bodyhit 2 could cause...
did you try knocking him down?
intimidate?
warcry?
perhaps some armor, or a PSG?
it sounds like the problem here is that he does more damage than you. so the solution would be to block or stop the incoming damage. if that isn't possible then you need to do more damage than he. which isn't going to happen. time to go on the defensive, it looks like.

General,
Do you open with warcry? or lunge/dizzy?
Seena who holds her own in PvP also - despite being relatively new to the game
i ageee that we ae not as bad as it seems. T-900 you need to get away from tat death tap of a weapon the curved. Buy a Vibo and an adv gaffi. actualy 2 adv gaffi one get a spd slice the other a dmg slice. Now the adv gaffi usually runs a min dmg of about 120-130 on sunrunner with max dmg around 215-225. Average spd is about 3.5 and getting a spd slice can do a world of good for low lvl and the dmg slice at master is awesome. Mine is a 126-221 3.5 base. spd slice got down to 2.7 spd and my dmg slice at 30% went up to a 170-287.
wit the spd sliced one and onehit2 i average about 250-300 dmg in pvp. I have yet to lose to a 2ander that i was seiouly duelig and not jut dueling to try out stuff. ( I suggest this for any melee to find other melee and ask them if you can just duel to practice things.. both of u) By my practicing I have come to find what is needed to destroy these other classes. 2handes rely on slow hig dmg but have mind bleed and hit.... key to them is make sure tey are lunge / dizzy imediatly save the time on everythig else till you get that done. once that is done they are no match just simply bleed them and bodyhit2 them and youl have them singing a new ton by time they get up. Though they can counter attack from being flat on tei back... kinda funny realy.
pikeman have horid accuracy, tey have action hits and the like. Not much of a danger unless you use a curved or a ryyk which can both eat your action fast. Use a vibro and quickly add blind and dizzy to them and add in a lunge if you want. havent needed it myself yet but only ever dueled 2 pikeman... they are rare from what i have seen.
Tera kasi is a pain in the butt. Not unbeatable but nearly. With tem i have yet to find a surefire way to beat them... most the tgime is cause they made a mistake that i took adv of... otherwise its close but not close enough until tey land KD then im just simply dead.
Fighting a Fencer well ... you should know what we can do and should know how to work around this or else if you cant figure out tactics... dont pvp.
All range have one thing tey love to do. Kite. I keep hand ful of grenades on me and uually will use the olfd gorila tactic and not fight head on but will launch grenades from around a corner thus making tem come to me or die by a stupid grenade.
Even though we are at uge diadvantages compaerd to oter classes ( cant out dmg a master 2hander or master tk once we are all spd capped) Personally tey need to slow down the 2handed swordsman so we can compare in dps and well pikeman are just so boke cat begin on them and tk are so fixed its unreal.
I will admit, maybe TK seem overpowered because simply put....nothing is broken in my opinion! ![]()
When I first took TK (back in the day) there was only 1 thing that was "broken" in my opinion...Powerboost. Now I will be the first to say I think it is a bit overpowered (and when I said this on the TK boards I was flamed with a fury).
Well since my days as a TK novice, Brawlers lost Vibro Certs, but gained was a hella amount of Speed, Damage, and Defense in the TK line for balance issues...not to mention HAM fixes. Nothing is better than the good ol' days when a knockdown would eat up 1200 HAM. And yes I incapped myself more than once doing this.
I'm not sure what fixes have come to Fencer, or if anything is broken right now. That is one of the reasons I am here though.
And regarding Swordsman and their speed...they already attack slow. Problem is they switch to their highest damage weapon for the MindHits and Bleeds, then to their fastest for regular attacks.
Yep, i think 900 should just give up and become a BH ![]()
Mind bleeds are basically death sentences. If you were ranged I'd suggest staying away from a swordsman. since you're forced to close and attack, your only choice is to try to keep from getting mind bled. For for a dizzy/lunge and long range, and keep moving, hopefully you'll be harder to hit.
