Thread: Fencing Armor?

I just picked up Novice Fencer and I am curious as to the type of gear I should be wearing. Could anyone help guide me into picking the right armor?
Should I be wearing Composite? Padded? Ubese? Also what protection percentages should I be looking for and in what category?
The major thing I am curious about is encumberance. What should the stats be and what is to big?

you no longer need armor, just get doctors buffs each time, but if u must use armor, use kinetic ubese, DUH

If you can't get 24/7 doc buffs but have cash use food. A Breath of Heaven + two ryshcate will sort you out for HAM costs before the Chef revamp.
Not sure what you use after the patch, but have been hearing about BE enhance BoH that gives +1400 str, qui and focus for 15 minutes.

Must agree, for the grind pick up a suit or two of 65%+ kinetic, protects well against any mobs you'llbe fighting, and cheap

doc buffs + 80% kenetic 60ish% base composite owns all.. tho the set will cost you near 300k on the gorath server.

Ubese with high kinetic resists is all you need until you finish footwork, then buffs will be fine

The composite will cost near too 300k. But if you just get the ubese it will be closer to 100k(with jacket,pants,helmet,boots,biceps and bracers).

Im a master doc/fencer. I buff myself, get a focus/willpower buff from a musician, and wear a full suit of encumbrance sliced 80% kinetic/79% electric/70% everything else composite and My stats don't move, even when using specials lol
