i am in the same boat there my friend. I had master Doc dropped it to 4-4-4-0 so I didn't have to give up 3-0-3-0 Scout. Now I'm considering the Master Brawler for the same reasons...but can't buff if I do Even if i drop Scout for Harvesting purposes. But I know I am gettin bored with all the npc crap so I want to get into PvP. If I had crap terrian Negotian then I couldn't catch em so I would efinately have to drop some Doc stuff..Thats the problem with Buffs, VERY Addictive Someone shed some light on this subject to us and give us your opinions! Would help very much.....don't wanna drop doc just to work up the tree agian hehe.

yea.... my first template was...

master fencer/ master doc/ 1000 in scout.

then i got sick and tired of people constantly bugging mefor buffs/rezs. but i was addicted to buffs so I dropped down to 4330 in doc. got sick and tired of getting my ass handed to me by kiters in pvp... dropped scout and got down to 0230 in doc and mastered brawler. still able to buff myself using the best buffs, even if not the best. Eventually i just wanted an all out fighter. so i dropped doc altogether, dropped most of medic (all but 4040 i think) and got some tka. Got the meditative line (get a nice 10 minute buff of half of your mind). fell in love with tka, and dropped down to novice medic and mastered tka as well as fencer (my first love).

so now im just a nice brawler (even got some 2h sword). dont know how much this will help you all (hopefully one of my changes will) but just wanted to share what i went through with the "buffing delima"

Hi there

I just made Master fencer and I have now trouble of deciding what my secondary proff should be.

Currently I am master doctor, and I just love to be able to buff myselfcure disease and such. But

I do enjoy a nice PvP fight every now and then but I also enjoy long solo hunts.
So I am now considering master brawler for the warcry and lunge..... but ....
......Does master brawler give enough benefits to drop master doc ?

Any thoughts on this ?

Keep master doc, master brawler is good but not worth that much.

Thx all for replies, still I am not sure on what to do. I did some pvp fighting yesterday
and noticed that my only problem was those 1 vs 1 fights against quick ranged attackers.
Thats when lunge 2 would have been nice to have.

Never got beaten up though they decided to run away when they noticed that they could not hit me.

Even killed a TKM, was really fun when getting KD'ed wearing a full ubese armor and the poor bugger
could not even hurt me .

Anyway still have some spare points, so I will give it some more thoughts.

Master Doctor is a good profession, but if you have Master Brawler you should be fine in most cases.

If you want a really challanging secondary profession, go Master Pikeman

buffs became a crutch for me, i stopped using them about a month ago, they are more addictive then spice

if you want a good nonbuffed stat migration for a zabrack tkm/blade master/master brawler that does not wear armor here you go

850/500/300/850/450/300/850/500/850

i believe that is mine, not totally sure cause i cant log on right now, okay with this, i can powerboost so then my stats become

1350/500/300/1350/450/300/1350/500/850, so i have quite a bit of HAM for without doctors buffs, then i eat a fishak, for another 500 mind, 2 rhyscates, (to lower HAM cost, adds a total of 500 to str, quickness, and focus, so HAM cost are much lower), and then i keep a moun gold and a pixie in my toolbar, and in an emergency, i use one

so basically with food and PB my stats are

1350/1000/300/1350/950/300/1850/1000/850

who cares about no stanima or constiution, i got plenty of willpower, i also have 3340 medic, so i can heal myself full no problem, and look at all that mind!, im a master brawler now, and im doing better this way, in fact the other day i got a doctors buff, and i died, because i wasnt used to playing with them, but if u dont wnat to have a crutch, do my stat migration, its **edit** good, oh yah, and HAM cost are so good, and with CoB, and all my defense from my classes, i dont even have to worry about getting my arse handed to me, i do the arse handing, i can take out at least 5 BUFFED people at a time, maybe thats why in some forum for the kauri server i got pvper of the year?

I wouldn't count master brawler out of the equation, I am currently master brawler, fencer 0/4/3/4, master smuggler and pistoleer 4/0/0/4 if I remember right. I got pistoleer from one of my holocrons and since mine went silent I decided to do fencer while the dodge mods still stacked. Anyway Warcry 2 is reason in itself just to have master brawler, I got myself some warcry enhancing clothing and I prefer it even over armor (cause my dodge is good) so far I haven't been beaten in any duel against another meleer, not even teras kasi because warcry really kicks tail. Also if you worry about Kiters then Master brawler is a no brainer, lunge 2 gives you a 15 m kd, so if you ask me, it's almost essential for any meleer who wants to pvp to have this.

Doctor buffs are nice, especialy if you can do them yourself, but on my server at least, it's not really hard to find a master doc anyway who's buffing, coronet usually has 2 or 3 on duty at any given time. So in my opinion, you should get rid of doc and get master brawler, square out your combative skills, cause I know doc is a serious skill point drain.

Wow, thx donnysabertoothfor those words. I finnaly dropped master doc and went master brawler and was completly chocked by the HAM costs and was considering on grinding doc back again Yesterday I was completly fed up by having my HAM drop to the bottom only in 6-7 1h hit 3. . But the combo of that stat migration setup with TK power boost might be the solution I am looking for. Also this setup will probably be very good after the stacking fix. ( any words by the way when this is going in live )

I will give that one a try, hope you dont mind a copy cat . I really hope it works for me, because I really enjoy the fencer proffession.

do that stat migration if your zabrack, if not, what is ur race and ill figure out a good one for you, be sure to use fishaks and rhsycates, when the new patch with the chef revamp comes out, ill tell u the new foods to use, I NEVER need doctors buffs and its great, i just heal myself if my HAM is a lil low, and dont worry bout armor, you will never get hit, ive decided to changed my profession tho

im now a mast fencer/mast brawler/4000 TKA/working on master pistoleer

the reason i dropped most of tka is because it was prertty much useless for me, i never used any of the skills except PB and meditate, (i do tons of damage in pvp, i have a "exceptional" gaffi stick which does 403-1099 1.9 speed and some poison it adds to it, it may not have AP, but it does a ton of damage in pvp, against unarmoed oponents, i do at least 2k damage IN PVP, thats 1 hit kill if they are unbuffed, so just find a good wep, and u wont need to worry about ham lowering, cause u will kill them too fast.

Actually I am a zabrak, and the suggested migration is started. also I am now 1003 TK. I can understand that you went pistoler a while back, but do you really think it will pay off now? considering the upcoming stacking fix. I was thinking of using the TK skills to be able to vary my attacks and respond to the situation. Perhaps this is not the way to go ?

Thanks again

well ive been almost every profession in the game, except entertaining ones, /ewwl

u need to get powerboost in TK ASAP if you want this stat migration to work correctly, umm TKM/fencer/mast brawler, u will be using one handed sword ALL THE TIME for the 105 dodge bonus, u will rarely use TKA skills, and the upcoming stackign "fix" isnt happening for 8 more weeks, my account will be over by then and i will have quit probably unless the crackdown is "fun", also with pistoleer 210 dodge, lots of melee defense, and ill have ranged mitgation and 100 KD defense, ill still always use a one handed sword, but the defense bonuses from pistoleer will benefit me more, im thinking of just being 4004 TKA/mast brawler/mast fencer/4440 medic/and 3000 scout, i dont need the 0440 from TKA, since i never fight unarmed but this stat migration is best for any zabrack who heals themselves and has powerboost.

I have a question. I see a lof of people saying master brawler is really good complement. I'm planning my template to be TKM/Blademaster/Pistoleer 4-1-4-4. Will I be able to tank some hard mobs like rancors and stuff? Or would mastering Brawler and then some scout skills would be more beneficial than the Pistoleer stuff.
