Hey All

The FAQ tells us the damage multipliers, but does anyone know the speed multipliers for each special? Plus can someone post the formula to find out the average DPS your weapon would do for specials?

I think its the fomulas below. Can anyone confirm this?

AverageDmg = (max+min)/2
RealSpeedDelay = (Speed Multiplier x Weapon Speed) x ((100-Speed Skill Mod)/100)
DPS = (AverageDmg / RealSpeedDelay) x 1.86

The reason there are no delays in the faq etc is that as a Master Fencer you hit the speedcap with all specials on all weapons upto 4.0 in speed. Because of this only the damage matters. Also because a master fencer hits the speed cap it makes it hard to test the speed of all specials as you have to do it while moving up the tree.

Actually because of the speed cap being hit with every single fencer weapon you can't test it properly unless you purposfully had a weaponsmith fail every single experimentation while useing 001 quality componants, and even then some weapons won't turn out with a speed above 4... realistically a weapon would have to have a speed of 10 to accurately figure out the speed multiplier.

That having been said....

As a Master Fencer/Master Brawler, every single special has a 1 second speed (+ - one tenth of a second)with a 3.6 speed Gaffi.

Add about a tenth of a second if you do not have master brawler.

Remember all that when the combat revamp happens things will change signifigantly regarding HAM use, so be prepared to change your fighting styles to fit... up side is that it won't be for a while.
