If Im TKM, and I get fencer with the max defense, does the melee defense mods still work when I use a pistol?

Doppa Ethradapa 4 trees down and 2 to go. I can't see and my elbow hurts. Should I change the colors on my HUD?

Yes, melee/ranged defense and state defenses will work stacked together regardless of what weapon you are using. Something like unarmed toughness or one-hand toughness won't work.

However Dodge will stack as it is a Fencer/Pistoleer special defense.
