Thread: Vibrorapiers-In a sense, they do exist!

I recently got a quest to deliver a Vibrorapier. It's a VERY rare quest, but if you do many Mos Eisley-Espa delivery missions, you probably have gotten it before. This got me thinking, wouldn't it be a good idea to have a vibrorapier? We could make it available at Master one hand, since all we get there is Rantok Sword, which I hear is only available from Jabba and no one uses it. Vibrorapiers wouldn't have the strength of a Rykk oe curved, but they would have very good speed. Sliced by a very good smuggler, you could cut them down below 1! Vibrorapiers would have the same handle as vibroblades, but the blade would be straight and medium length, slowle getting thinner till it reached the end, where it is a sharp point.


What do you think? If we get a new correspondent soon ( Or Minerunner wakes up from the cave he's been sleeping in ) we could tell him this and add it in! I know some people could day that's the least of our problems, but we don't have that many.

under 1.5 I dont think it makes a difference anymore.

it is what fencing is al about, small elegant weapons like rapiers (most common fencer weapon RL) wichaffect a low damage but cause of the speed are very deadlycause youcan disrupt a marksman in his shooting. Swords and batons aint true fencer weapons (i would put a baton under a mauler class or something)

This is interesting, does the Rapier have a graphic? Because I wouldn't think it would be a difficult implementation if it were to be added to the game, and I agree that a truly lightning-fast weapon is what this class is missing. That of course in light of the 1.8 speed 2hCurved swords on the market (faster than mine! GRRRRR...)

I think the speed cap is 1.0, but there isn't a lot of flexibility because of how fast the 2hweapons get. Even if we did get a, say, 50-80 damage 1.0 speed rapier going (which i think is fair) it wouldn't measure up to those things(108-323 damage? WHAT?). 2h weapons need to be slower; 2hcurveds shouldn't be faster than 2.7 base. Don't like to cry nerf but we need the speed advantage, it's pretty much the whole point of the class.

That was a bit of a rambling post. Sorry.
