I've killed SOOOOOOOOOO many guys with my Rykk, and I've had it for about a month. It hasn't lost 50 condition! Is your sliced? Try to get a repair tool.

The last big patch greatly increased the decay rate on weapons.

Supposedly it was lowered a bit ina hot patch. The intention was to make repairing more integral, and make you buy more weapons to keep the economy healthy.

Personally, I just find it annoying.

The chance to repair successfully is based on the quality of the repair kit.

Unfortunately, there is currently no way of seeing the repair kit's quality by inspecting it. Here's a tip - don't buy repair kits off the bazaar. Find a weapon crafter you know and trust, and have them make you a bunch of well experimented kits to keep in the bank.

What typically happens with me is about the time I'm ready to repair, someone has a better sword for sale and I just upgrade. At some point, I'm thinking repair kits will be more practical.

I just looted a sword core off an NPC last night. I'm going to ask a weaponcrafter to make a sword with it so I can see the stats. I'm thinking once these "legendary components" start showing up on the uber mobs, repair kits of high quality will be a _must_.
