I'm curious, can you post the full stats? Such as HAM, AP, etc...

I'm just trying to figure out why this would sell for so much... I bought 5 curved swords and got them all sliced for a grand total of 30k. 2 out of 5 are great swords! The other three are pretty decent.

The stats on the best one is

81-165 damage

1.8 speed

Range 10/10/10

HAM of roughly 20/36/25

I won't even go into my vibroblade.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am not a fencer myself, so I have no idea how big a difference the stats make. If the Rantoks are in fact AP 2 that would explain the rediculous prices I've heard them going for. Part of the appeal might also just be a coolness factor- It's very neat looking and since it can't be crafted, there's a uniqueness about it. I've also read that the range makes it desirable. As requested, here are the complete stats from the game:

One thing to keep in mind, they aren't very hard to get. Sure they are NOT craftable, but any Novice Advanced profession with a friend can have one in three hours. So they did sell at crazy prices, but that was mostly before people knew where they came from I think.

I've heard recently that the Rantok is AP 2. Anyone know this for certain? AP 2 vs an Unarmored Foe means you are doing 37.5% bonus damage, which makes the Rantok MUCH more appealing assuming a solid speed slice...

According to the strategy guide. Rantoks are AP0. All 1 hands are except the vibroblade which is AP1.

Strat Guide is based on beta too if I'm not mistaken.

I can tell you this much, my Rantok easily out-damages my VibroBlade. No comparison. Nada, none. I don't know how to find out for sure, but testing my VB and my Rantok on friends wearing different armors, I would stop just short of swearing on my mom that the Rantok is AP2 now after using one for a day or so.
