This is ridiculous. Whatever "adjustment" they did to our 1h specials is ridiculous.

I am now hitting for 400-600 wiht my /melee1hHit1 (Cho Mai). My freakin' /melee1hHit2 (Cho Sun) now does on average 200-300. I worked my arse off to get the next special in that line and now it sucks. I might as well not even bother. I'm afaid to find out what my next specials will do. 100? 50?

*sigh*

odd - my attacks are still doing the same (in some cases higher) damage.

Not to be condescending, but have you checked this on many mobs? maybe you're just fighting better armored mobs right now?

One thing I have noticed, is the enemies /con will have an effect on the damage you do. And /cons were raised in the last patch. This means you might do somewhat less damage to certain mobs postpatch, but overall you should be doing more damage to equivalent /con mobs.

I'll log in right now and smack around my favorite Transdoshan Thugs. brb.

Ok, I just logged in and sliced up some mobs

Using my 2 handed sword (94-214):

  • melee 1 : average 920

  • melee 2 : average 1300

  • scatter 1: about 900 per 2 stats hit.

Everything looks normal.

These mobs were:

  • transdoshans (generic humanoids).

  • no armor or resists.

  • white con at apprentice level.

ONly difference is that I am using my vibroblade vs. my curved sword. This accounts for the absolute damage difference, but I still regularly see Cho Mai doing MORE damage than Cho Sun. This is consistent on some mobs from Tat and Naboo.

LOL, no offense, but the patch message specifically mentioned this for 1h melee if I remember correctly.

odd - I'm not seeing the damage loss

I did some tests with my Vibro, Ryyk, and Stun baton. In all cases I am seeing more damage on melee2 over melee1.

Maybe your specific combo of weapon, mob, and level are causing the damage to be scewed.

Is anyone else here seeing this problem? I would expect more people bitching if this was happening to us all.

*shrug* who knows.

I'm fighting Kaadus on Naboo. Switched back to my 47-134 curved sword.

Cho Mai - 473
Cho Mai - 484
Cho Sun - 388
Cho Sun - 370

Just a few examples as I scroll up my combat chat box.

Occasionally I'm getting Cho Sun to hit for 700-800, but that is far from the norm right now.

that's very strange.

I'm using new swords right now - I'll dig into my bank for some pre-patch weapons and see if that changes anything. I'm working now, so I'll have to test it tonight.
