Haven't you noticed all the powerhouse professions like CH, TKA, BH, etc. ALWAYS beat us? We never stood a chance against them... until now.

All three are or have been nerfed. BH knockdown is now crap, TKA stinks, etc. etc. etc. But have you noticed... I don't think the fencers have been nerfed once, besides the brawler, which you REALLY can't count. Besides, the brawler hasn't had toooo many bad nerfs besides that horrible berserk gimp.

So what i am saying is, SOE is on a roll. And they might not STOP! Soon, we will rise above the the Bounty Hunters and Creature Handlers and Marksman! With the help of the lesser-played Pikeman and other lesser played professions, we can overcome the marksman! Think about it.... Most of the lesser professions haven't been nerfed once!

So all you Fencers out there, have no fear.. Our time WILL come

I don't think we are supposed to overcome marksman... although, I've never lost a duel to one in a confined area. And I'm a master marksman myself if they actually get outside.

If we get better thats great if we stay the same thats fine. Right now i have loads of fun with my fencer and am pretty good with him pvp. Took out a riflemen title sniper in a stratigic spot in an important battle on our server last saturday. I just need to make sure iknow when to use my carbine and when to use my knife.

I am happy with the fencer too.

Ipray to all MMORPG Gods that we never become UBER. I do not like to see every third charakter with a sword in his hands and then fear the damocles sword of nerf over me every new patch (happend with my NS in DAOC).

I love the new PvP system. Dueling my friend who is a Master Pikeman used to be a no contaest, he would alawys one hit kill me. I only have footwork mastered and and expert in stances. However, after the patch I could take that one hit and knock him down before he could get another off and dizzy 2 generally keeps people down for the duration. We split the duels 2-1 infavor of the fencer . However, as far as TKAs sucking now, I was spanked 5 times by a master (I blame 2 on my crappy computer ) I did get him down to about a quarter in all his bars though... So its a moral victory

Honestly I haveno big complaints or issues right now. I am having fun.

yeah I know! I love the fencer alot and am happy with it. But more and more people are leaving because it's "weak". Then again, isn't that good?.... We wanna stay rare

Anyway, I know Marksman > Brawler on average and we can't really do anything to stop this but playing as a Fencer is fun L)

Actually, Fencer is one of the most peacful professions.. At the moment, if you go to our boards, you won't see "OMFG TEY NERFED BERZERK" or things complaining like that. And we have an EXCELLENT correspondent also, not one that decides to take away Rykk or Vibroblades . So as of now, I'm happy.

yeah we do have a good corespondant, too bad he got kidnapped by SOE

Things are looking good. I saw in the patch notes that damage was increased for 1h melee specials. I'm not sure if that meant all of them, I wasn't really paying close attention to the damage I was doing.

I think the knockdown damage bonus will also help.

The increase in cost for lunge was not apparent to me.

If weaponsmiths are now able to start producing weapons with lower HAM costs,we'll probably benefit the most out of the melee classes.

This, combined with a fix in the vibrolade components, I think we'll be doing pretty good for a while.

Yeah, it seems like the fencing community is one of the most cohesive, pro-active, and peaceful communities in SWG. Ok, our correspondent is missing in action, but we are making due without him. Basically, all of us fencers realize that we aren't powerhouses and we know that we are weaker than most of the other classes (if not all), but we are ok with it. We still do a good job and have lots of fun.
