Thread: Lunge 2?
I was looking at the SWG reasource center under the heading of skills and it claims that Lunge 2 exsists as a skill along the 1Hmelee tree. Then looking at there skill trees to see when you get it, I failed to find it anywhere. Does this skill really exsist cause I don't see it under any of t he fencer headings.
Thanks for the help,

I don't know where you saw this, but it is wrong. You can get 1hLunge2 from getting Master Brawler. Otherwise you have Lunge1 which you get at Novice Brawler, or Intermediate 1h.
Hope this helps...

Heya...quick question about Lunge 2...
Does it seem to keep the target in the posture change longer? or is it merely a "boost" to the chance of getting a target to posture change.
Thanks.
Wow 15 meters is pretty far. What are you guy's opinions think its worth it?
I'm curious myself.... and have asked this question before, but ::sniff:: didn't get an answer.... Has anyone trained Fencer after going for Master Brawler? Were the additional stats MB gives you worth it?
Thanks,
Seena
I'm not a master brawler, so I can't really comment... but I will anyway ![]()
My understanding of Lunge2 is that it's identical to hitting Lunge1 twice.
The person is not actually Knucked Down - which would imply they are on their back. Instead, they are just forced prone (on their stomach).
This is not quite as powerful as an actual Knockdown, since they can still shoot back at you while prone (assuming they have ranged attacks). That being said, Lunge2 has a great range, and is great for stopping people running from you... I'm just not certain it does it any better than Lunge1 (which forces them to kneel).
As people have stated, the other benefits you get from Master Brawler do look very nice... and as a whole, they offer quite a carrot to the would-be Master Brawler.

Incorrect! I've seen Lunge2 in action and I've certainly talked to people that have it. It's a true KD.

WOOOHOOO!!!
I did't know it was a real KD - the description looks like a double lunge. Hmm... 15 meter Knockdown...
I think I might pick up Master Brawler while I still have points to spare. I'm all giddy

I AM a Master Brawler.
Lunge2 (regardless of which version, Unarmed, 1H, 2H, pole) will do a KNOCKDOWN. It has a large range (yes, 15m.. but lag sometimes is annoying, so sometimes things 9m away on your screen are actually further away if they're running away from you.. I think this is more of a bug, rather than lag, and needs to be addressed because of the kiting problem).
However, Lunge2 doesn't ALWAYS knockdown, even if it hits. It will do so more often than not, however. I would rate it at 7 out of 8 successful hits will do a knockdown.
It does pathetic damage, though, but it's main purpose is knockdown. I can easily solo yellow-cons. I can also kill most red-cons, though ranged ones that kite you are annoying (like those freaking corsecs), usually you can Lunge2 to reach them.
In my opinion, I am very glad I went Master Brawler, because the Lunge2s are superb.
