i have this template, and enjoy it, not the best in PvP, but it can hold its own to say the least, but its realy good in PvE, mainly cause u get good heals with fast cooldown

Howdy,
I'm a Master Fencer/Master Doctor on Gorath. The post before me was right on. I really enjoy the template and in fact like it even better since the CU. Being a Fencer lets you get into the frey while being a Doc makes you invaluable to your buds in the field.
If you want to deal heavy damage, you'll probably find it a little disappointing. I'd suggest Swordsman/Doc if that's the case. As a Fencer you'll deal less damage than a Swordsman, but you'll deal it more quickly and elegantly, not oafishly like a Swordsman. Swordsman can pound big game better though.
Really depends on your personality. If you like being rakishly stylish and don't feel the need to be a jockish brut, then Fencer is for you. If you'd be frustrated wailing away at a tough NPC and having it take a long time to deal much damage, then Swordsman might be what you're looking for.
And of course, Doctor is always nice for buffing and healing yourself without having to hope you can find a Doctor around if you are not one yourself.
Not that it means anything, because I really think the thing to do is look for a profession that suits your personality, but I've been a Fencer/Doc since the beginning and have chosen not to respec with the CU. So I guess I'll have to confess again to really liking it.
Choose wisely,

I forgot to mention...
You'll get owned in PVP by ranged professions.
Good luck.

I keep seeing threads about taking up sword if you want to dish damage, my batton converted to 400 min 900 max ish, i have a power hammer that is 1050 max, when i dropped tkm and went master sword to try it out, it sucked imo, i couldnt wait to get my batton back out.
Only thing im lacking in pve is heals, im doc 2040 and miss my stim e's, what other branches are needed to improve my heals...like the old days of healing 3 or 4k ![]()
