Thread: One reason pistol/fencer dodge seems to have changed
Was thinking about why the dodge numbers seemed to have changed.
From some tests people are thinking that pistol and fencer dodge no longer stack, which may be true, but there might be other reasons for the changes in numbers also (this is a quote from the latest patch notes)
"Added to-hit bonus for melee vs. ranged weapon attacks. This is a replacement for the damage multipliers and a sub-feature for the damage mitigation addition. If you use a ranged weapon against a melee combatant, you are easier to hit."
If pistol is easier to hit, then dodge will fire more often, hence a higher dodge rate for pistol than fencer (depending on how you test for dodge, ie number of dodges over a time period)
This could be causing some of the strange testing results we see.
Over the next few days i will try to load up my bot and get some further results.
