Opened my first Holocron and it said 'Fencer'! Well I've mastered CM (medic) and am close to mastering both doc and pistoleer (been playing since July - yeah I'm slow, but I'm having fun) .I will master both before pursuing Fencer. Seeing that I prefer to enjoy a profession as Iclimb to master,it may be another month before I have these 2 professions mastered. In the meantime, I'm trying to become familiar with the fencer profession by reading the forums and FAQs (well done, I might add).

When the time comes, I will have to decide whether to give up Pistoleer, Doctor or a combination of both. As I see it,pistoleer gives some excellent defense mods and compliments fencer well. The doctor gives yougreat ability to Buff and heal when and where you want.Looking at the skill sets, I figure that I could go down to a buffing doc (0-2-4-0) and then to a 4-0-4-0 Pistoleer for the dodge and defense vs. mods. After that, I'll need to drop another branch somewhere or drop the Doc. Your personal advice is welcomed.

Thanks for your time.

In my experiences as fencer, having doctor has been almost essential to my routine. If you are simply grinding fencer for the holocron branch, keep pistol grips (ranged mitigation) and forfeit the rest. You probably won't need it. The dodges also work pretty well. Focus on defense and get a good weapon and the rest will fall in to place for you.

Go to tusk fort, Master Footwork, then it'll take 3 days to master fencing...

i am a fencer combat medic. granted you cannot master fencer if you have master cm (i am a master cm), you can still kill things very fast(throw 2 health poisons) then hit it with 2 bleeds. step back if you in trouble, heal then let the bleeds and poisons do the work. i love this combo. I am probably goign to drop a few skills in cm and master fencer caus e i love standing toe to toe vs an oponent.

Thanks for your suggestions. Looks like I should master footwork (and that's pretty much the consensus of the forum) first and if I keep any linein Pistoleer, it should be Stances& Grips. I'll be able to stay a buffing Doc to helpmy guildmates and buff myself when solo. I'll keep tossing my Health Poison Bs & Cs as long as possible and hopefully by the time I get that far, I can handle myself in battle as a Fencer.

I don't expect to grind this out in a week (been playing since 1 month after release and only mastered Medic& CM and 1/2 way through Pistoleer and Doc), so I'll be monitoring the forums and trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks again for your input and time and I'll check this thread later see if someone else has any suggestions.

-Never been to Tusken Fort, but I've heard a lot about it. This could be interesting...

Stay Safe.
