Well ive got a question for you a ltitle bit more experienced fencers, im new with one handed, however..

people says get a gaffi and slice speed, i dont understand _WHY_ when i can get a one handed curved sword with double as good stats, my curved is sliced 31% dmg and has 2.3 speed and max 250m dmg,

and the gaffis ive seen isnt anything close that.. and about that stun batoon... is it good?

im just novice fencer nothing more, started today.. what wpn should i use?

Until you have master footwork, just stick with curved sword or rykkblade. But if you have vibro blade that can do good damage, then go for that. Once you get master footwork, you shouldn't have much problem about the speed wtih gaffi stick anymore.

they tell you gaffi over curved cause you can use specials and not kill your mind, which is unhealable. and my speed sliced gaffi is about as good as my dmg sliced curved sword

Don't think one weapon will work for all. You should get a vibroblade, a gaffi (or a curved sword), a stun baton.

A vibroblade and a stun baton are must even if you don't intend to use them. Once you start meeting things with armors and resistances, a gaffi stick isn't going to cut it. (unless you got uber gaffi, but likelihood of you have it and willing to use it is very low)

A gaffi stick is simply for damage dealing and bleeding. You should not use this all the time.

It will become increasingly clear that sticking to one of these weapons isn't good idea. A vibroblade doesn't deal much damage. A stun baton doesn't have high damage or AP. A gaffi stick has no AP and high health cost.

It is important to note the advantages of each of these weapon. A vibroblade is fast and has AP. A stun baton is fairly fast and does stun damage. A gaffi baton has high "raw" damage.

You must "think" and figure out when to use which. (That is left as an exercise for the readers. ... Hey, you think I will tell you all my secrets?)

my personal experience as blademaster is this, if you are not buffed(by doct, consuming food/drink buffs, spice) you might wanna use vibroblade for its low HAM cost. However, if you are buffed, it's recommended to use stun baton as many mobs are vulnerable to stun dmg, use gaff stick when hitting lairs.
