Thread: What are we, Fencers, to expect from now on with stun layer armor?
I don't know about other servers, but stun layered armor is being made on Starsider rendering our Stun Batons even more useless and putting out far less damage (the stun resist ranges from 30-60%). Vibroblades are only minimal in what the stats are and they're the only AP1 weapon we have. Grant it, fencer has great defenses, but that's about it. Are we to expect any changesto our weapons, which would be the logical thing to expect, or are we doomed for now (in the offensive side)?
it does hurt when they get the armor with stun but it is so worth it. arg i hate this

stun was the only thing no one had, now they do.
lol....Man I have been a master a fencer for about a week now. I have no complaints what so ever...In PvP I win 8 out 10 fights easy. Rebs on my server whom meant certain death to me when we crossed paths now bow before me in awe or run to the hills! I don't even use a stun baton!
Fencer is hands down a great profession the most fun I've had so far (I can now PvP!). It was a holo profession...which are now quite to me (I have eight on valcyn anyone want to buy one...lol) ButI see me keeping this one for awile.
I'm sure its been stated but if you want some good pVp. get buffed (you even have the skill points to master brawler for a keen edge it battle and still have enough skill point to get to a level of doctor to buff yourself something decent) Eat somethat Fish surprise mind buff food on top of some munon gold and get ready for ten minutes of almost god mode. (I wear 75% kinetic armor but have been eyeballing some good composite for yet another edge agaist none melee fighters)
Do this and find yourself on top of PvP without the stun baton. sure your not invincible but noone is (not even the great and powerfull Jedi..lol)
Yes he armor hole is annoying, and I'm totally jeolous of riflemen! i don't know why but when i mastered that i was till getting beat by novice pistoleers and now they seem to be one of the few professions to stand tall agaist my fencer. Good good on the devs for those fixes for them! I'm not sure what "fencer' bugs are outn there. i'm having to much fun putting rebs on their backs to notice.

You're not that smart are you? Most servers didn't have the resources to make stun layered armor. Just recently, Starsider did. Not a lot of people have it so I still don't have a problem winning in fights. But I've stopped using Stun batons and went to using weapons with DOT's. I stack Health Hit1/2, and use the DOT weapon to stack it's disease/poison/fire. Someone said in this post to get the defensive boxes in Fencer and take up Heavy Swordsman... you're right, that is a good idea and Swordsman get CounterAttack as opposed to Dodge. But myself, I'm sticking with fencer and am on my way to Master Rifleman. If I can't beat them with melee, I'll do it with ranged.
nope this is definelty the first time starsider has ever had the resources to make stun layers as far as i know. but i'll jsut get me a set of stun layered and since its just starting to be made i'll just stick with my stun baton until the resources are gone or everyone has a set of it. but since its so expensive right now not that many ppl will have it for a while.

if your winning 8 out of 10 fights, then somethings gotta eventualy give. These people are gonna have to figure out a way to stop your winning, and others like you, so to asume that this wont ever change is kinda i dunno, i'll let you decide on that one.
if no one uses stun layered composite then we have an advantage, and if we are winning a ton cause of it, it would only make sense that they get this aspect taken care off.
all players want to win, and all players will try to equipt themselfs the best they can do to do so. A large majority of players will even figure out what professions in the current times are the best tools to win as well.
Why you are seeing a rise in combat medics right now.
