Thread: Input on my PvP template

After getting completly destroyed in PvP by a couple of CM/Rifleman combos (I know the FOTM types) and then being triple incapped by them I was pissed and vowed revenge. So I started working on what I hope is a good PvP Template and at the same time works well in PvE. I refuse to go CM with any combo, imho it is a wimp template for people without any balls. My 10 yr old son could throw poison all day and kill people, for that matter a monkey could be trained to do that.


So here it is for now and I welcome any input:

Master Fencer/Master Carbineer/TKA 4/0/0/4 the rest medic, my alternative would be replace Carbineer with MHS. I want to make life miserable for all those wimps that just poison/Disease then run like the scum they are, but I want to be up close and personal when I do it.

What are the pros and Cons of going either MHS or Master Carbineer with Master Fencer?

Let me tell you, that looks like my template only I got pistoleer instead of carbineer, and instead of medic Im going dirty fighting 3. I had a nice run in with a CM last saturday and while the CM died befor his disease hit us, all he had to do was get it off and we now had a death sentence to be easily picked off by a single sniper shot.


It was me and one other guy who was a doc and he couldnt get the cure to work in time nor did I have a chance to meditate it away. Defenses mean nothing with disease or poison as Im sure you know.


I dont know what to tell you. Not even a doc could save me in time and it meant nothing that we killed the guy as soon as he came overt, all he had to do was push one button then a covert Doc/Rifleman comes and rezs him goes tef and ignores my comp helm right to the head in one shot while I was centered at dodge cap.

Add master bralwer to that as you get lunge2 which is 20m KD very good with fencer

Won't have enough SPs unless I went MHS instead of Carbineer.

So how is this template going to solve a problem? Just pickup 4040 Doc and negate 100% of the CM's ability if you really want to get even.

I think the grind of just getting to Doc would drive me insane, I could not sit at a med center and heal peeps for 3 hours at a pop. I like to kill stuff anything else is boring, I know a Doc/Fencer combo would stop the CM effect but Doc/XXXX seems to be a FOTM I like to be somewhat unique.

Upon futher reveiw this combo does look quite deadly I could also stay at TKA 4/0/0/3, it is tempting but as I said I think the grind for doc would due me in.

Well, unfortunatly CM doesn't really have much of a counter besides Doc so I'm not sure that it really matters what type of profession you mix with fencer. The CM is going to launch the poison and then diseaseas the first move in almost every engagement. Even after you kill them, you have to get rid of the poison and disease or you'll still incap. TK can help with the meditation line but unless you're able to kill the CM pretty quick, you may not have enough time to rid the poison and disease with meditation.


If you truly want to defend against the CM you have to invest your time to do it. I'm not sure why people think they shouldn't have to invest an equal share of time to get an equal level of protection. Besides, Doc can be mastered in 1 day. For less than the time of any melee or ranged profession.

I agree with you on the equal time, I was not asking for extra potection without earning I was just not sure I could take the grind. It is really not the same as moving and tanking to get exp, sitting and healing for 3 hours well.., that said I think I am going to try your advice out. I don't think the "CM Menace" is going away anytime soon and the only counter would be having doc and I am on a mission, triple incapping is cheap and dirty. Payback time is a coming!
