Thread: how good is fencer for krayt hunts

does anyone know becuase i saw a few krayt hunting last weekend so i have started working on it and now that im a 1-0-0-1 fencer im beggining to wonder how good is it becuase there are no AP2 weapons.
please post if you have nay information on this topic
and if it is bad for krayty hunts should i go heavy swordsman?

Decent for the small Krayts, Juvve's I think (sp?). For anything bigger get Heavy Swords. You'll barely scratch the bigger ones, but then again they'll barely scratch you

fencers are only useful as tanks vs krayts, anything with medium or heavy armor fencers are pretty useless.

yes we work best in groups for the big krayts, you can act as a tank so others can get damage in. make sure ur buffed and got all your tricks in use when your doin this

well right now im a tkm and working on novice fencer. earlier today i was in a 2 person group, i was the tank, and i tanked really well, but i did like no damage. if i plan on being able to damage these guys, should i go into heavy swordsman too? i can master all 3 profs, i just calculated it, though i do want to have some medic skills

yes heavy swordsman is great for pve, not for pvp. with several heavy swordsman and rifleman in a group u can take a krayt so long as ur prepared

Heavy swordsmen are excellent in both pvp and pve. Their headhit specials drain a fully buffed mind before my poisons tick once. Lunge1 keeps you there long enough for them to do that.

I have a more refined question. Does a fencer/MD combo have enough defenses to tank on Krayt hunts? I have enough commando/BH type friends to do heavy damage, the limiting factor is always the person that will stand up and take the abuse (am I a sucker or what?).I do know thatit's easier to get the loot if you are right there when the big thing goes down.
I solo'd a juvi krayt as a 2122 rifleman/MD because the novice fencer I was with got wacked early on due to crappy armor. All I can say is thank goodness for my high kinetic composite...and BEmind food/drink.

I am already tired of conceal shotting 'till death everything, so want to go melee to have some fun, just trying to decide what.
