Just Curious I am a Master Fencer and i use my Stun Baton in pvp but i am curious about how Stun armor and PSG's affect the usefulness of my weapons. If my opponent is wearing 40% Stun armor and a 53% Stun Resist PSG are they both applied to the armor total or does it depend on the attacks used against my opponents or is it just on or the other so if having a high spg would that make stun armor overkill or useless or are they both a good idea. Any imput would be apreciated ...

It will have a drastic effect on your ability to deal damage. This is it would work.
1. You hit your opponent for 100 damage.
2. Their 53% stun PSG would reduce your damage to 47 points.
3. Their stun armor, justaccounting for it'sAP1, would then cut yoru damage in half, to 24 points (rounded).
4. Their stun resistance rating of 40% would then cut your damage down to 9 or 10 points of damage.
Now, with some of the monster acklay batons out there, you can still be effective, but with some of the more standard acklay stun batons or regular stun batons, you'll find yourself unable to deal more damage then they can regenerate or heal with the casual stim B. That is if I got it all correct.
Still, every now and then you'll run across some casual PvPer who doesn't have stun armor and you'll feel much better about yourself.

I agree with everything, including the need for a monster baton to deal damage above regen rates, except the accounting for AP1 of armor. My tests with dmg calcs have shown that the AP1 of armor vs the AP0 of a stun baton doesn't reduce the damage by half - meaning that your damage with a 100 damage baton may be more like 47 * .6 (for 40% stun armor) = 28. I'm always up for hearing the other side of the coin though - #'s rarely match exactly what calcs show they should, even when in a 1 on 1 duel and have the numbers already figured out for what the baton should hit for.

I know this post isnt quite helpful with what your looking for but just some ways to gep around the stun armor issue of 4-9 points of dmg a hit.
now a VERY good tactic i use here is:
a) most people find that pvp is all about the mind (not true) so they only buy the stun helmets. BAM... easy, onehandhit3 and bodyhit3 are your best friends, also just intimidate, have a CoB macro going, and BLIND BLIND BLIND!!!! mainly because i find if they pvp enough to have stun armor they are guann be a pain to kd, so just keep the body hits and hits goin at em
b) a VERY easy way (in case ya dont know) to get rid of that pesky PSG is scatter hit3 until u see ur dmg come up about 30 or 40 points, thne ull know hte PSG is broken then u can go back to the body hits. this works VERY well with my pvp'in
PS buy a good health psn knife to help out the fights against the tka stackers

If only we got a one handed damage bonus like TK's. Even just a +100 would be nice.

2. Their 53% stun PSG would reduce your damage to 47 points. Actually the PSG counts as AP1. First it would drop 76.5 points off making it hit for 23.5 points of damage. THEN you have to account for the stun armor, itsAP1 factor, and its resists. I've tested it with 9% stun resist PSGs with 1400 condition. It slashed the damage in half.
Still, every now and then you'll run across some casual PvPer who doesn't have stun armor and you'll feel much better about yourself.Yeah people think of stun damage waaay to highly. They're also the ones who use 90% composite (which has 0 stun layers in it) for PvP. Pssh, I still find plently of people who PvP without poison/disease resists. Face it, alot of PvP'ers are noobs or Jedi coattail followers.

Although you didn't mention it, for a more accurate calculation you need to add in the 40% synthesteak even a casual pvper eats.

Can't say I eat steak too much, but I do use 50% Pikatta Pie (filling issues).
