i think we're capped for any weapon upto speed 4.something.Since all my weapons areless than 4 spd it dont help at the minute. I reckon its worth getting though for when you get into the padawan bit 'cos it *should* help with the lightsabers (though i've heard a rumour its borked and doesnt work with sabers either!)

I have -
FS Melee Speed - I see a difference
FS Melee Accuracy - I see a difference
FS Melee Defense - 2 boxes filled, I see a difference
So, my answer is yes I see a difference between just being Master fencer & FS Enhanced Master Fencer.

how? we're already speed capped and thats a hard cap of 1 attack per second (in game time not quite 1 second in RL)
have you tested this with some duels?
ie
one m. Fencer no FS - attacking for say 1 minute (timed in RL)
count attacks in combat spam
yourself attacking for one minute and again count the spam in the combat channel?
Must admit that i've not done this but i cant see how you get round a hard cap on the speed of your attacks.
PS this isnt a flame, im just trying to qualify what 'I see a difference' means

supposedly when stunned the extra speed comes into play. i am not a state effect expert and don't claim to be so i am not positive about this.

You also need to remember that while it might not be that useful atm, with the Combat upgrade coming the devs will probably make it far harder for people to cap their speed, make the bonuses more useful to fencers.

Hey, he wanted to know if there was a difference between having the FS as opposed to not having the FS. I told him in my opinion yes there is a difference. Now do I have any "HARD SCIENTIFIC PROOF?" The simple answer is "NO", but I did see a difference in the "FS ENHANCEMENTS". I am definately alot faster than the "normal master fencer". My melee accuracy is now -18 when I attack something, if that isn't improved I don't know what is? And I'm not capped on melee def currently w/enhancements I'm at 94 w/10 more pts to gain before I complete the FS melee def tree. In my statement I neverwrote I had evidence that the FS Enhancements work above the cap, I wrote "I see a difference" because that's what I experienced a difference. I can't prove anything or disprove anything I guess, you'll have to get it and see for yourself.

It's useful spamming One-Handed Hit 3. I still have a 1.5 speed Curved Sword that I use for that very prupose sometimes, despite being Master Fencer (no FS speed bonuses).

Hmm I don't know why you would do that.. oh well. Force melee speed does actually help on lightsabers though. I also heard that it increases your speed by a percentage, so you at level 4 you would attack 12% faster. In the end though, it doesn't matter, the max speed you need for anything is 100 so an increase of 3% would be like you got +3 speed anyways.

I did notice a differance in the animations of the specials. they moved MUCH faster, my combat logs still showed me hitting every second but the animation was at least sped up for some small immersion on the speed factor.

Yeah that's what I was finding with my 1.5 76-171 curved sword. I finally wrecked the thing after over a month's use though so I went and got a 3.4 166-280 Gaffi.
