Well, currently, I'm using TKM/Swordsman, which while not BAD...
See, the problem is, it seems Swordsman isn't entirely useful unless you can speed cap, and, well, THAT is not an easy task. So, after chatting some with my guild last night, I heard Fencer might be good in place of Swordsman if you can't speed cap it, (Not to mention being better for PvP.) soo...
I've also heard that Fencer, speed capped, can do just as much damage to everything around it as TKM, is this true? I'd just go Swordsman/Fencer, buuut... I'm rather attracted to TKM, it's like, well... it's ME yanno? Been a TKM for 4-5 months, don't intend to drop it untill the day I have no choice.
So is TKM/Fencer better then TKM/Swordsman for FS grinding? PvP? What about speed-cappage and the like? IF I could cap Swordsman, would it be better in this case? Yeah, I'm a little indecisive here regarding this whole matter...
And how hard is it to speed-cap/get a good weapon?

The only way a fencer can outdamage, or come close to a TKM damage, is if it has like +60% resistance to Kinetic and you are using a stun baton. other than that fencer doesn't out damage anything. with the lack of ap, most of our damage gets lost in the armor.

Well to be honest at Master Fencer Master Swordsman Master Brawler, there is little precepible difference in speed as it stands.
Most Swordsman Specials with my Scythe come in at 1.2-1.5 seconds per hit, and hit for far more than any Fencer weapon/special I have.
But I do not have any Uber Fencer weapons, no Ackly Stun Bats or Gaffi bats. No Legendary weapons or exceptional ones.
Is Fencer and TKM a good combination for most things, yeh sure, but so is TKM Swordsman. It's all in how you play it. As for PVP well I've never been beaten except by people who use weapons far more potent than mine and even win against some of those. But I dont' PVP often only when someone attacks me out of the blue.
For Grinding FS xp? Heh six of one half dozen of the other, I can get so close to the same XP per time increment that it's unimportant weather I'm useing a Scythe or a Gaffi, but I've long since quit attempting to grind FS xp since it just isn't fun.
And I've stopped doing anything in game that I dont' find fun.
My best advice is to try out Fencer. If you don't like it, if Fencer and you don't mesh, then regrind what swordsman skills you have to give up. And above all go with what is more fun.

I agree. Fencers for fun!
I became a fencer when I noticed that fencing outdamaged pistols. (Yeah, sad, isn't it?) I liked fencer and kept it. I'm often mistaken for a newbie while wandering about in my chiton armor. I'll group with newer folks who charge the nearest red thing and promptly get themselves a short dirt nape. Meanwhile, with only a mind buff, I'll take out a clutch of kliknicks and a klitnick queen.
If you want your armor to last forever, be a fencer. If you want to wear cheap armor and have it be effective, be a fencer. If you want to kill things fast, be anything else. Fencer is many things, but it's not fast.
