Lunge 1 and Lunge 2 from Novice Brawler and Master Brawler, are currently the only ways we can change the position of our target. Lunge 1 pushes them down from standing to kneeling, at which point when they try to stand and are dizzied they fall on their back (most of the time), Lunge 2 drops them straight to their back if the secondary role is successfull, at which point they fall if they attempt to get up while dizzied (most of the time).

Personally I use Lunge 2 because my template includes Master Brawler though I rarely ever use KD/Dizzy as I think it's cheesy. But then again I'm the guy who refuses to get Uber weapons no matter what the detriment to my ability.

Though part of that is to maintain touch with the Fencers who don't have such Uber Loot.

so if i dizzy my apponet and use lunge 1 or 2 after then they are kd or is it lunge 1 or 2 then dizzy and the kd works or dose it go both ways.

The KD portion happens whenever you do the move. If the Dizzy doesn't take effect before hand then they will be able to get back up.

They are seperate entities, one is a knock down, the other is a Dizzy, but Dizzy only effects someone if they are attempting to change their position, thus it effects someone who is knocked down when they attempt to stand. Or if they were silly enough to try to kneel while dizzied they could be effected.

the effect of dizzy is that if someone changes posture they have a large chance of falling down while doing so, and thus anytime they try to get up from being knocked down it checks the dizzy to see if they fall back down while trying to get up.

I hope that clarifies things for ya.

I really think fencer should get a KD attack without having to master brawler. Lunge 2 is currently our only real 'knockdown effect' attack, otherwise we have to use dizzy/lunge 1 for posture change, which rarely works for some reason. TKA and Pikeman both get lunge 2, even when they have KD attacks within their professions.

Currently, without master brawler, you just gotta dizzy a few times and lunge 1 to force their posture change down, and hope they fall over

actually the only way that TKM gets a second lunge attack is by mastering brawler. can't say the same for pike. (never played one). though we (tkm) get two KD attacks.

--so with master brawler, TKM would get three KD attacks. however, with the KD timer, having more thanone doesn't really provide a distinct benefit. (i know that they have different damage ranges and unarmedKnockdown2 adds a dizzy effect but...)

EDIT: added further clarification

Pikemen get 2 non-MBrawler KDs, sweep1, a singletarget KD, and sweep2, an area KD. they also get 2 area dizzy moves. THough, the HAM kills you too fast to be able to spam it like you can spam TKA moves.

Lunge 1 = Position Change

Lunge 2 = Knockdown

If your are unsuccessful in actually KD'ing your opponent, try Position Change on them, as they may be on Thaktillo (+def vs kd)

I honestly never had a problem with pikeman HAM. Anything you'd fight unbugged can be auto-attacked to death quickly, and anything you'd take buffs to fight...well, eliminate HAM costs.
