I'd say Fencer/Doc. Clearing those state effects is going to be a lot more helpful than /melee1hlunge2, /intimidate2, /warcry2, or the +5 Speed + Accuracy.

I'm master fencer/master brawler/master medic, and though it works nice for solo hunting, its not really the best for pvp.

The problem is, we currently have a lot of defense stackers who will go TKM and get defenses from other professions, making them virtually unbeatable. After the upgrade, they wont be around anymore

Since fencer, standalone, has some of the highest defenses of any profession, I think we'll be much better after the Combat upgrade, when we can outmatch other professions in that field.

Ive had a few friends who were master fencer/doctor, and they did great in pve, and also in supporting roles for pvp. Fencers make great tanks, and with doc can heal everything except mind (including all states, dots, etc.)

Personally, i've been thinking about changing to master fencer with combat medic 4404, for mostly PvP. CM's do great, and if fencer can keep me alive while the poisons wear my opponent down I think i'll be able to win most matches.

pvp templates i like

master fencer / 4030 doc / 0040 pistoleer ( strong cures, heal all states, nice state defenses )

master fencer / 3000 doc / 1042 pistoleer ( with janta blood cures still nice cures, heall all states, capped dodge, strong defenses )

master fencer / 3000 doc / 4004 cm ( janta blood cures, heal states, throw nice poisons at the downfall of lower defenses.
