Hi,
I was wondering if the fencer skill Dodge works when holding a LS, my friend has master fencer and he dodge all the time.
Ive got the same thread on jedi forum but why not ask the masters right?
Some ppl say it doesnt work, others say it a lifesaver...
Plz can u clearify this for me?
Kind regards

I don't have access to a lightsaber yet... so I can't run that test for you, but my thought is that it may for one handed sabers but not likely for other saber types. And even then I highly doubt it works for one handed sabers.
Would be nice to be able to check it out though.

well here is what i can tell u, i dont think dodge "works" with a lightsaber cause its not a 1handed weapons (if it worked with ne saber it would be a 1 handed but its weapon type is "1handed #gen saber") BUT i have noticed that even with being dodge capped and using a rifle i still cause misses/evade more, now if u are asking is using pikata pie when grinding jedi help? YES IT DOES! cause that is a different dodge and believe me up until master saber u see a DRASTIC decline in dmg taken even from Bols and what not, invest in some crates of Pikata.

If u dodge while holding a rifle ull dodge when holding any kind of weapon, i know pikata pie increases dodge and it can be used efficiently but i wanna know if i take fencer x44x i can dodge.
Think so cauz u dodge when holding a rifle.

Pikatta pie does not increase your chance to + Dodge +. Instead it increases your opponent's chance to miss. The combat log will show more occurrences of "blah misses you" and not more occurrences of "you dodge."
I believe the pie acts as a separate roll, performing normal melee defence/dodge/etc checks only if the food roll fails. Someone else might confirm the mechanics of it but the bottom line is that anyone can benefit from pikatta pie, whether or not they have a one-handed weapon equipped.
Wielding a lightsabre? Pikatta pie. Fencer dodge won't help you.
