Thread: Pikkata Pie: The Truth

Alot of fencers find it to there advantage to eat pikkata pie when fighting.

I however, have been doing some testing and find that the opposite should be true.

First off, pikkata pie does that actually increase dodge like it says. For the sake of arguement, lets use 50% pikkata as an example. It SHOULD increase evasion 50%, not dodge. Of course most all of you know this.

But what I have discovered is that pikkata is replacing your entire secondary defenses. Since I became BH I have looked thru my chat logs everytime I fight a jedi. When using Pikkata, I have not dodged ONCE in a VERY long time using pikkata. Recently I have been leaving the pikkata out of my palette...and the results are astounding.

I am either dodging or evading an attack at least every other hit(with CoB macro mind you). With pikkata I was only evading an attack maybe 1/5 times.

I am going to do more testing and actually perform an experiment with SS's of my combat logs, but for now I advise all fencers to stop usign pikkata pie as I am now convinced it is replacing our superior dodge with mediocre evasion.

Do you have TK Defense line in your template? I have a sneaking suspicion that it actually adds to Defensive acuity... because when fighting PC Jedi and Uber NPC's I see far better results with Pik Pie that you are.

I think it works i have old combat log somewhere. I did a long duel with a swordsman/doc a pain since alot of hits went to health and he kept curing states. Anyways duel lasted around 16 min and ended very fast because my opponents moun ran out then he was basicly chop. Log was way to long to post but in the end my opponent had 825 battle fatique and i around 480. I was master fencer/master rifelman back then with the meditate line in TKA as well. I used CoB and Pikkata Pie.

Now i cant say for sure if the difference in BFwas due to my defenses alone or the added Pie. It was the first time i used Pie and i was pretty sure i was getting hit less and less.

Used it ever since. But i would love to see your test if you get them done.

I'm most likely the dodgiest fencer on my server. Using pikka pie helps you more than you think. You might not be "dodging" but you anit getting hit.

Get a fencer suit with +20 dodge on it so you can get that 125 dodge cap, eat pikka pie and ask a rifleman to use hs3 on you. If you have xxx4 tka, that will make you dodge even more.

The last time i was in a big battle on my server, i had pikka pie and tkaillo running on me, i was getting chased by 6 jedi, 2 rifleman and a tka. Managed to escape from them all when my tef finally went and run into the "buffhouse" my guild set up outside their city. I was looking at the combat log when i was in the house, they missed me more than 70% of their attacks.

Pikka pie is "Defensive acuity", not dodge or evasion (though it may appear as evasion in the combat log), and everyone knows dodge stacks with defensive acuity.

If you're wondering, i have a +30 dodge suit with +23 accuarcy and +11 speed (for my CM days when i had to drop master).

As your leader, i command you to jump off a cliff.
