Thread: Question on Fencer/Pistoleer Balance

I've seen a lot of posts lately complaining that the combination of pistoleer/fencer is unfairly strong because of two things:

1. The stacking of dodge, even though the other ranged/melee combos have stacks as well.

2. Thespecials of both professions tend to target health so that switching in combat is seamless.

Well, there is another factor that nobody has discussed that might make all of this balanced when you look at it in totality from a higher level...

Pistoleer tends to drain the action pool, whilest fencer tends to drain health and mind more than others. This means that a pistoleer/fencer can't overload one of his/her pools via stat migration to be a power spammer.

My question? Do the other combos, carbine/sword & rifleman/pikeman have opposing pool drains or can these combos stack their stat points into one common pool and be more effective at offense as a result?

This could be a huge advantage, and once again, this feature tends to make the fencer more of a defensive, tanking player, rather than an offensive dynamo.
