get at least footwork 2 before using a gaffi... its too slow at the novice level... i get pwned at ft tusken sometimes too... its like fighting a lot of buffed master fencers/riflemen. The one hit kills they can get are insane... but if u can live through it.. its hella nice xp

When the patch hit that increased the difficulty level of NPCs, Ft Tusken became a suicide run for anyone that is not at least half mastered in a combat profession.I usually see Fencers, TKA or commandosdo pretty well, but even they when facedup againstthe Carnage Champion go down within 3 seconds. Yes, he is a evil evil man. Not saying he can'tbe beat, however unless you are buffed to the guilds, don't be the first guy who engages.

The respawns come in three different waves hard, harder and hardest. So when you are scouting outthe place and seea carnage champion, maybe go do some POIs and come back in an houror so.

Also, if you can get your hands on some nice armor, that would also help, when I manage to get my suit of 80% Kinetic Comp (I'll tell you, its a bitch to put on) and get fully buffed, the xp is awesome, Just toss on some muon and in between downers rest up a bit, also, the best weapon to use for "almost novice" is the Vibroblade, decent speed, Light AP, and like some other guy said, don't engage a tusken unless you are buffed to the max and have protection, but me, i'm novice fencer also, when I get 80% kinetic on, find a buff, and hit up with some muon I can take 2-3 raiders and a captain/chief and survive, also, learn to use those dizzy/lunge combos good, my favorite is to successfully dizzy twice, lunge, dizzy twice again, and they won't be getting up for another 30 seconds. Goodluck, dont try to the be the first one in.

I just get owned in this place while everyone else in my groups gets uber massive exp!

What am I doing wrong?

I use a Gaderffi and am almost novice fencer... is it too soon to be at the fort?

Is the area of attack spin attack worth using?

The ONLY thing that the tuskens can do to hurt me is by sticking me with a bleed. Usually a deathspawn bleed is 1k+ meaning you have 50 sec at 5k hp to get the hell outta the cave and hopefully far enough away to lose aggro. Im master tkm master fencer 0033pistoleer and i can tank obscene amounts of tuskens at the fort. I killed the carnage champ once and he got me once. As long as his bleed doesnt hit me (he bleeds for 2k+) i can take him down. His medium armor is a bitch, so dont use the gaffi stick. Stick him with the bleeds and hope he wont stick you with his. If he does, pop that flame out and burstrun outta the fort and meditate that sucker away, popping the pixie if you need it. Only died once in the fort since starting, and that was to the carnage champ. Aoe blind = god.

Btw, dont go into the fort until you can solo 3 tuskens melee easily. Things will get out of hand fairly fast. I brought a buddy with me once, even with trying to keep all the aggro, he got whacked in a couple of hits when one spawned. Trains of 10+ tuskens easily happen, you just have to deal with it. If you can't handle atleast 2-3 and pull your own weight for the group, you'll die. I personally solo there for pistoleer xp now (lol, jus stack the fencer bleeds on each tusken and shoot them till they die. Groups of 8+ bleeding at the same time=fast xp). Tusken fort is godly for melees because of their low kinetic resist and how they always use rifles, which means 2.5 dmg multiplier. In order thrive there, you MUST be able to fight off a minimum of 2-3 tuskens at the same time, melee or ranged.

1) Be able to use stim B's, things can and will get out of
hand at the fort dont rely on the team medic to heal you
because he/she could already be dead.

2) Mastering another combat profession helps but is not
needed, Get Advanced Foot Work first.

3) When engaging a Warlord and higher stay away! take your
shots at maximum distances...just because they arent
targeting you doesnt mean they wont incap-DB you

4) Non player pet can be used as a sacrificial lamb of
sorts. If you are incapd in the caves lets say...Tuskens
are blocking your path...send the pet he'll get their
attention...burst out of there.

5) getting shot and you havent gotten inside the fort yet,
leave its a bad bad omen...this means the fort is bug'd
and you may magically have a guest sooner than you
expected.(Warp)

6) Use intimidate

7) tip the healer of the group if he/she heals you allot-
resurrects you-I assure you, they will look after you.

8) Armor is no biggie...I didnt wear any until after I hit
Master Fencer. If you can get your hands on some
advanced Ubese Armor..that would do you a huge service.

9) No matter how long you live, never get cocky...death is
only one head shot away...stay w/ the group.

Yeh, that's why death is one shot away, because you dont wear armor. Armor makes a HUGE difference. Gaffi sticks have no AP, any armor, even with 1% kinetic resist, will automatically reduce the damage by half. Don't rely on others, chances are they won't be there to hold your hand when you need it. When 20 tuskens show up, you're gonna get owned if you think the healer will make sure you live, he's gonna save his own ass first. Stim b's are nice, but not required, just have buffs and you should be fine. I used food as my healing.

Fishak=mind Flameout=health Pixie=health and action Muon=mind. I have never even seen my action dip in the tusken fort. Keep that helmet on and your mind shouldn't get whacked too hard either. Just hotkey that vercupti, fishak, and muon, take the muon last and your mind should last.

Good stuff.

For the idiot calling me out for FOTM...

I created my fencer before I left for Iraq over 4 months ago now. I got him to novice fencer off womp rats. I had my BH since day one and am still working him to master BH. I don't give up or change because of a few nerfs or changes. I play what I like.
