Thread: Bleeds = No XP?
I've read a lot of information that bleeds in the past gave XP. Seems there was a some sort of a bug that let you hit, say, a Pistol bleed, and it gave you 1-handed XP for the bleed.
My question is, is the only purpose of a bleed these days to simply kill the target (I know, DUH)? Meaning, if I use a bleed when I'm trying to grind some XP, I'm basically throwing XP out the window because that damage simply ticks off into nothing?
Seems to me that Bleed damage should go to the xp bar of the skill that put the bleed on. If I use a fencer bleed, I should get fencer XP.
Maybe in the combat changes coming up. I'm sure it was exploited for XP in the past, and now it simply just doesn't associate to any xp bar.
I think how bleeds work are that they don't give you xp for the bleed itself but allow for you to get full xp in the form of the weapon you are using. I haven't used the fencer health bleeds in a while because i left the profession a while back to try some other professions(no not holo professions) and I haven't gotten any fencer bleeds yet. However, when i was a Rifleman I could put my bleeds on and then use headshot and recieve just as much xp as when i didnt use bleeds. Also I would mind bleed Krayts to prevent killstealing but my group would recieve thier normal xp. I think bleeds just help you kill stuff faster but dont give or take away xp. I haven't used any bleeds since this past November though so they could have changed how it worked.
