/dropsjaw are you guys serious? i have to wait to log in till i get home from work but man this sounds like a DRASTIC change, i understand not letting them stack but i wouldn't stack them in the first place as bleed2 worked so well. With this change we may need the bleeds to stack again!
I'll have to remake a character on Test Center and master him soon so i can stay updated with these changes. I'm very disturbed at this news ![]()

Resist are now taking into consideration with DOT attacks. Of course this doesn't completely explain why it is so low. M
any of us seem to think that they also reduced the multiplier on DOT specials or in some other way drastically reduced the damage done.
Outside of commandos, this hurts us worse than anyone else
.
Note - And the one class that really needed an adjustment on their DOTs, didn't get it. Poison and Disease both still stack and have not be altered.

Yes, this was intentional. This is from the complete list of changes made in Publish Six:
Combat
--Combat XP grants were removed from combat healing, poisons and diseases. Those actions will still count towards looting permissions.
--DoT damage is now tracked for loot permissions. XP rewards in combat now correctly reflect amount of damage that was done by dots.
--Special abilities that inflict combat DoT's (Fire and Bleeds), have had there initial strike damage increased and the combat DoT damage reduced.
--Weapon DoT effects now only work if you are certified to use the weapon
--Bleed/Fire resistant clothing will now have an effect.
--Fixed /chargeShot1 & /chargeShot2 to work correctly with the knockdown timer

I seem to average initial damages of 500 - 700 and bleed damages of 200 - 300 with Bleed 2 using a 20% sliced Gaffi. This was against Mature Hanadak Rock Crushers on Endor.
I don't know what the rest of you are experiencing but I seem to be seeing a huge increase in initial damage (not that that would be hard to do, given the old bleed did 0) and about a 60% reduction in the DOT effect. Given that this is part of the combat rebalance I expect the effects we're seeing right now won't apply with the new weapons and class design changes. Hopefully things will get BETTER at any rate.

I suspect the current is exactly as intended. The first combat pass removed armor and lowered the resistances of most creatures. The next step would logically be lowering player damage output. (No, I don't like it either but I can't see this development team doing anything other than continuing to significantly weaken player characters.)

The fencer health hit 1 and health hit 2 bleeds no longer stack. Did any of you fencer/pistoleers check to see if the fencer bleeds stack with the pistol bleeds?
Thanks.

Alright, I've noticed the huge nerf of bleeds as well, but I was wondering if its just fencer bleeds that got hit, or all bleeds. I've posted about this on other boards, but nobody has replied to me as of yet. It sucks going from 1.5k a tick to 150 a tick, and then it doesnt even give you exp? BAH!

I dislike having the bleed tick reduced, but I love being a fencer so i will deal with it. That being said i would like to rationalize my arguement for keeping the damage higher. As far as armor and resists go, they should have no effect. A bleed is a move that has bypassed protection and found a way to deliver a lenghty amount of damage in orderto weaken an opponent. Being a master of the blade allows us the ability and prescision to deliver such a blow. An intereting idea is to start with a low amount of damage that adds BF to a player and as the BF increases, inturn so will the bleed. That mechanic exists already for Cm's and is, in my opinion, more accurately depicts the effects of these types of moves. I did not roll a fencer for the offensive capabilities, so no the current situation is of no consequence to me, however i would like an actual representation of my class. I am a Blademaster, I am dazzling to behold, fast as lightning, graceful and most importantly, an intelligent combatant.

I have not tested it yet, so I could be wrong.but I think bleeds stack with other players, so you can stack 20 bleeds and that is why bleed damage has been nerfed by so much.
This is reallya anti-soloing / pro-forced-groupingdevice, in the style of EQ![]()
