No, it has been proven by nuklearpower.com, that ninja-pirates are the pwn. And I quote:

Pirates and Ninjas. Both are incredible, I'm sure we'll all admit, in just about any context. But what would happen if you crossed the two to create an army of pirate-ninjas to take on the world? Would you be able to defeateveryone? Would anyone be able to stand up the the nigh unstoppable destruction that could be wrought by such a mix? Or would they just be regular ninjas that would blow their own cover when they are struck with the irresistable urge to mutter, "Yar" at inoppurtune moments? It's a dark moonless night in Tokyo, you're on your way to visit your aged grandmother. Your parents always told you not to venture out this late but you never listened, what harm could possibly come to you? You turn down an unlight back street just as a cold wind blows by. You suddenly feel unseen eyes peering at you from just beyond the darkness, and that's when you hear it; "Yar." Then the glint of a steel hook. Your last thought before the cool metal slides between your ribs is "Pirate ninjas? The hell?"

To be on topic, however, Smuggler already has the fence title in it. Fencer is someone who fights with light, one handed weapons, or a pair of them possibly. But yeah, that extra class for thieving would be awesome!
