Thread: FENCER PVP TEMPLATE
there's some very nice template threads stickied that supply alot of information and debate about templates, I'd suggest strongly looking through them for ideas.
If you are going CM which can be very effective with melee templates if done rightly, and you only want to dabble I'd go up the following trees in order.
4000, 4004, 4044, Master. Heals first, slows and paralysis second (these kill melee), regen killers, dots (less useful out of the lot) CM takes up a hell of alot of mind but you can always paralysis and regen but so will they.
every melee template should have tka 0100 for Improved CoB.
Pikeman is very good but that extra line in brawleryou need to take several cripples you.
Swords 0034 is nice for armour break and citical hit.
In the end it's up to you, choosing a template is an art form and if you don't enjoy your template you won't be effetice since you won't bother to know it inside out. Be warned if you go CM alot of the fencer moves will be made redundent unless you don't want to use up all your mind. Personaly I'd go swordsman with CM but that's me 
This is all assuming you're doing PvP, I have no idea a good PvE template.
