ok im master fencer with no other melee proffs i am wanting to solo enraged rancor lairs..can this be done or am i up **** creek? my template is masterfencer/rifleman with pistols 0040 and medic 1040.

I have tried these lairs before.. its not that they are hard, they barely hit you at master with COB going, just very tedious given the high kinetic resists of these rancors. Unless you have a nice stun baton that you dont want to pvp with.... id stick to something you can kill more efficiently (kamuriths, for example).

I agree, it all depends on your weapons. They never hit me--though when they do they seem to like to hit me in the head more than anywhere else. I can take them down pretty rapidly using a 300 max damage Gadariffi with Body Hit 3. If you are looking to solo them for money/fast xp then its not an efficient use of time. If you just like to fight them or want rancor loot then you won't have any problem with them.

If anything, you may be disappointed just how easily the big guys fall. I was.

I have to agree with Kier Verack, With CoB macro running then they hardly hit you. But depending on what weapon you use can take a bit of time.
